30th Jan 2020 (4 years ago)Martyn was very helpful upon my move in and viewing. However when it was time for me to move out, they withheld some of my deposit money because the property wasn't clean enough. I didn't complain when upon my move in the floor was as dirty as the grount outside, but now I got charged money because I didn't clean? They even provided pictures about how it wasn't "clean". There was no dirt on the pictures.
1st Nov 2022 (1 year ago)We have had dealings with Woodleys Estate Agents over a number of years both selling and buying of properties, as well as renting. The service, communication and advice they have always given us has been excellent. In particular Mark, Mike and Gareth who were totally on top of negotiations and efficient in deputising for each other when required. All In all this company and its employees acted both professionally and honest with us at all times. They were a pleasure to work with and we can 100% recommend them. In addition we rented a property out through Woodleys with Aidan representing us, who likewise had very high professional standards and guided us through the whole process from advertising to selecting a tenant. Again we recommend this side of the business too. Mark, Mike, Gareth and Aiden are a credit to Woodleys and clearly showed integrity and professionalism throughout our dealings with them, but we also had a good many funny moments and laughter en route. We've recently completed the sale so a property and can't thank the staff at Michael Hardy (Wokingham) enough for all their hard work and perseverance in selling a property with a limited market. Barnaby Styer has been most helpful in keeping us up to date with the progress and making sure the property was continually visible on a multitude of different media. Sara Ankerson has been a great help, as have everyone in the Wokingham office. Would recommend them to anyone considering selling a property and looking for a highly professional service. Thank you to all at Michael Hardy.

8th Mar 2022 (2 years ago)A very difficult sale which unfortunately took longer than it should have. Parkers we’re patient with the difficult buyer but was very stressful for the sellers although we were well advised by the agent.

If you are looking for an estate agent, I would highly recommend Andrew and his team for their professionalism, honesty and integrity.
28th Aug 2024 (9 weeks ago)Michael Flatman has helped me with four transactions over the last 12 years including purchasing and selling and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is honest, realistic, efficient and simply brilliant at negotiating with all involved to make sure sales go through smoothly. He has also helped me with finding tenants and setting up tenancies and has always been available to help with any queries and gives excellent advice. Above all, Michael is such a nice person, you won’t find any estate agent like him! Thoroughly recommend.

They made the rental process so much easier and stress-free. I felt well-informed at every step, and they were always transparent with all the details. I highly recommend Walmsley for their excellent service and dedication to their clients.
15th Sep 2022 (2 years ago)!! Avoid them at any cost !! They are the most unorganised, unprofessional and the rudest agency I have ever been with, they have left us without a shower for over 3 months, the lied about the property being professionally cleaned, all they care about is money! Lesley and Rob their head of lettings are the people that we have been dealing with, Rob was lying through his teeth to get us into the property, these people don’t have any respect for their tenants! And now since we left the property they are causing so many issues it’s actually an utter joke.

The extra options he provides as standard helped us sell our house by generating viewers as soon as it went on the market. We sold in one day. Thank you Lee - can’t understand why anyone would go with another Woodley agent knowing how hard you work to make the process so straight forward for your clients.

14th Oct 2024 (18 days ago)We are having a nightmare with this company. We have now rented a property with them for a year. We turned up to the viewing, sat there for 10 minutes and no one showed. We called the office to be told they forgot to book it in and it would need to be rebooked, we had driven 4 hours to view this property as we were relocating so told them they had to send someone out. We were then rushed through the viewing. We ended up going ahead with the property and had no problems with this part of the process. However, anything that requires any form of management from Martin&Co is horrendous. They have 2 months to complete a gas safety check but left it to the last week they could legally have it done and then Oliver had a go at US for not being able to take a day off work to let them in. We got told it wasn't possible for them to give us a timed slot so we called British Gas ourselves and got told it was possible they just had to request it, M&Co wouldn't, so we did and I was able to work it around my job (but had to organise everything myself). We then got contacted about our yearly inspection, we called and booked it in for my day off, they never showed up. We called to find out that once again, they didn't book it in. We live in Wokingham but half of our communication comes from the Staines branch. We then got emailed 3 days before rent due to say they were changing the account we needed to pay, we went on to set it up and the bank stated it looked like a scam payment based on the account, we contacted the landlord as it was a Sunday and he said he hadn't authorised any bank change, so it did look like a scam! However, after contacting a very rude woman at M&Co they stated THEY were changing the bank account and we have no right to talk to our own landlord and to pay them immediately and we were lying about the warning from the bank (proof attached). We are on a fully managed contract and have had to organise everything ourselves so far, which is ludicrous. We are fed up with communication from this company and would never rent with them again.

There was not only the very fine, speedy, value, and getting the job of selling our house involved, but PA team had the human touch that in such businesses very seldom one comes across. The PA team was involved not only selling a building but what that building had meant to the previous owners like us and projecting that information to the buyers. WELL DONE PA YEAM

Completely put me off viewing any properties with them.
1st Apr 2024 (6 mo. ago)We have recently completed the sale of my 91-year-old uncle's bungalow through Property Owl. Over the years, I have been involved in selling a number of properties with varying experiences of agents and I have to say that Ammar's service was truly exceptional. My uncle sometimes gets a bit confused about dealing with administrative matters, and Ammar was very patient and thoughtful with him - it was his first house move in 50 years, so very stressful for him. Ammar's kindness and patience was very helpful as we live over an hour away. He also chased the sales process very effectively, liaising with the buyer, the solicitors involved and the sales lady at the retirement complex my uncle moved into; he kept us informed about the progress throughout. He even offered to take cuttings from a bush in the garden, and turned up on moving day to help where he could! Recommended unreservedly - thanks, Ammar!
