We rented with Hyde Park Agencies for 1 year and cannot recommend enough. We are extremely sad to no longer have them as our management agents (our landlord sold the flat, otherwise we would not have moved!) as we have never lived anywhere which was managed so well and so proactively. Theo was our property manager and he entirely surpassed all expectations, dealing with all issues, no matter how minor, within the same day in most cases and overall making the renting process a complete dream. Had an agreement with a housing agent on price and length of stay and was referred to these jokers. We arrived at the agency to meet with George who told us we wasn't actually there to pay agency fees but to hand over the deposit and first months rent. When we told him that we had only expected to pay the Agency Fees George told us we was wrong and that we had to show him we was serious about renting the place and immediately asked for our bank statements, forgive me if I am wrong but why would he need Bank statements if part of the agency fee covers a credit check? very dodgy. George then got on the phone to the landlord and started speaking Greek, the conversation was very animated and appeared as if George was arguing with the Landlord he then finished the call and told us the Landlord would make up his mind next week even after he had supposedly agreed we could have the place. We decided not to part with our money and go back to our original agent, he spoke with George who then decided to up the rent by £10 a week and increase the tenancy to a year after we had already agreed 7 months. We inquired why this was the case only to be told the next day that someone else had been placed in the property. George is every negative stereotype of a housing agent, I wouldn't trust the man to buy me a drink let alone find a house for me, avoid this company like the plague. Dishonest, rude and dodgy....
