Went though Ur-Place.com to get into the flat I'm currently in; I have a private landlord who advertised through ur-place. Everything went smoothly and I was kept in the loop throughout the process, even when there were hiccups with the wrong reference form being sent to my previous landlord (human error, everybody makes mistakes!). The issue was identified and rectified same day, with Ur-Place contacting me to tell me what had happened and show the steps they had taken to rectify it. Come to the day to get the keys, they managed to open a slot for me which was not ideal due to working commitments on my side, however they made efforts to fit me in, whilst also making sure I understood the meters, boiler, had the correct information etc. All in all it was a very smooth process and I would recommend them!... Rented a damp flat to me (mottram rd stalybridge) which had been covered up only to reveal after a couple of weeks dangerous black mould. Flooded after a month or so, then the kitchen cupboards fell off the wall on top of me. Had them out to fix what was clearly a leak in the flat above my bathroom to which they said 'its condensation' - only for my upstairs neighbour to fall through the floor into my bathroom at 4am a few days later. When I wrote to complain about all the issues and moved out, they did not care and put it back up for rent the following day! Avoid! Edit in response to your comment...I DID contact you and you did nothing. I wrote a several page letter to you describing the issues I had and the fact that the flat isn't fit for human habitation, you didn't even apologise and threw it away!!! You then gave my deposit back in cash to keep me quiet.....you can keep your 1 star, wish I could give 0.... Read more

I came across 1st for rental when scrolling online to find a property to buy for one of our clients. I have been in touch with Marc, who arranged a viewing to be held at the property. After the viewing the clients has decided to submit an offer which was accepted by the seller’s side, contract and reservation form were exchanged and signed by both sides. Marc assured us that he will hold the property for us, and we had started working with our solicitors to progress with the purchase. This was on the 20th June 2019. The investors flew into the country from abroad, spending vast amount of money and time to come and see the property before they were due to purchase, I informed marc on the importance of its and he said he is keeping the property for us. And then Marc has just stopped answering our questions. We made multiple attempts to contact Marc, via email and phone to which three weeks later he informed us the property was sold elsewhere to a higher bidder ,this was in the end of September. This is extremely unprofessional from Marc, to lie and give excuse and in addition to ignore a potential buyer It is a shock to see that anyone still works in such a manner. I would not recommend working with them at all after a waste of time, money and resources to be ignored. Quite disgusting behaviour, no basic work ethics.... Read more

I was interested in a property they advertise and after the viewing i told them i'm interested to rent asap.Being in the uk for a year and working full time with permanent contract but yet they didn't give me that old 1 bed apartment with 450£ pm Even tho we had 33.000£ income. After they ignored my messages for a couple of days i got an excuse that the landlord put his own tenant in the flat. But they still advertise the property as available. Probably they didn't want me as a tenant cause i'm Greek? who knows. I know for sure the income was more than enough to cover the rent and i had references from previous landlord in London. I'm not going to waste time with this kind of games, i'm not a kid and my time is limited.... Read more
