My partner and I have recently signed a tenancy, unfortunately not with Foxtons but just wanted to say, Callum at Foxtons Stoke Newington has done more for us than any other estate agent we’ve spoken to. Really wish we could’ve found a place via him just so he would get the commission, it was very well deserved after all the time and effort he put in in trying to help us find a place.
Out of everyone at Foxtons we’ve spoken to Callum has genuinely been the most helpful and loveliest of them all.
We have appreciated his help and efforts more than anyone will ever know - it’s been an incredibly stressful period and his help hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Callum is truly a highlight of the Foxtons team!

Horrible experience, took my deposit and 1 month rent but landlord backed out and its been 10 business days without a single email or the deposit & rent refunded. Zero written communication about whats going on.
Foxtons seems great at taking your money but not so great at providing a service.

A good experience finding the rental, but now that a rogue landlord is trying to charge us for remodelling his damp bathroom (damp from day one of our rental), they are refusing to assist - never acknowledging the issue or following up in any way - like talking to a brick wall. They even sent me a video of the flat before I rented it which shows it was damp with black mould because I had to rent it without seeing it, as the previous tenants refused Foxtons entry and skipped their flat inspection. I complained soon after arriving and the silicone directly around the bathtub was replaced, but all the grouting between all the tiles on the wall remained full of black mould.
You can type about two sentences to the landlord online to discuss issues with the deposit - a useless process.
Foxtons and the landlord are trying to charge £1,000 for some white paint cracking on a ceiling in a damp shower room with no effective ventilation - knowing that it's unlikely anyone would've taken a photo of a ceiling as evidence on the day they moved in. That is shameful behaviour.
Someone in the agency called Ingrid visited a few weeks before we left and took a photo of some mould around the bathtub which hadn't yet been scrubbed as part of our weekend clean (mould returns quickly in a damp and barely ventilated room, unsurprisingly). Ingrid cannot seem to comprehend that the mould was not there when we left the flat, despite the current tenants even confirming it is bright white in screenshotted whatsapp conversations. So the landlord is also trying to charge us for 'damage' which doesn't even exist.
I also had a terrible experience of them entering the property without asking my permission (zero email or call) so I got the shock of my life when I returned home and there were strangers in my flat with my rescue dog - the agent was apologetic but that is completely unacceptable.
Now they are contacting me about wanting to sell my house for me as I'm still in their area. No thanks guys, that commission is lost to you.

My experience with Ellie Murphy at Foxtons was truly excellent! She was professional, proactive and took the time to explain all parts of the purchase process. I found her to be very informative and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable with the process and my requirements were addressed.
I highly recommend Ellie and cannot thank her enough for helping with the completion of this purchase - I wouldn't have been able to do it without her!

The worst experience I have ever had with an agent. BOYCOTT Foxtons when hunting for property! What they mean by "We get it done", is that they themselves secure payment for themselves and then abandon you, the tenant and have zero ambition to assist you when you need them. We had a property that was unfit for living and it took 8 months to only partially resolve the issue, only through persistently calling and calling and calling. Every time we called it felt like they were hearing this for the first time - was like speaking to a brick wall. We finally managed to escape our 2 year contract, but It still took a month to get our deposit back. Arrogant, awful customer service all round. Good riddance.

Honestly a thankless experience. If the London property market isn’t bad enough these guys won’t make it any better. I called up very quickly the same day I saw a property had been listed, they assured me they would book in a viewing for a couple of days later and would email me a confirmation THAT day. Safe to say I received no email so the next day I called to double check if I’d missed it. That’s when they told me they’d FORGOTTEN to let me know they’d accepted a blind offer from someone online who hadn’t even viewed the flat. Not even giving anyone else a chance (clearly they don’t care about building a loyal client base). I think it’s clear that they are more interested in the biggest cheques rather than making house hunting a democratic process.

Ellie Murphy has facilitated a number of viewings over the past 6 months or so. She is thoughtful, professional and proactive, businesslike and polite yet also friendly and personable.
She quickly grasps what kind of place is of interest, and on that basis gets in touch as soon as something potentially suitable comes up. I may well be in contact with her again.

She makes it easy by grouping the viewings together, and by driving us around. It makes the whole process really fun !
