For Sales, maybe. Stay away for property management. Only interested in collecting fees and making sure they have an easy life. Do not conduct genuine referencing of tenants and when problems arise offer no support despite collecting full managed services fees. Very, very disappointing personnel and service standards.... I rented a property in St Albans through Hamptons. The property suffers from system damp issues and Hamptons colluded with the landlord by covering up the damp and mould. They did this before I rented thr property and also have just done it again to the next poor tenants. It is Hamptons' handyman, who I talked to, who carries out the masking to hide the issue for a short period, after which it is too late for the tenant as they are locked into the tenancy. Hamptons St Albans did not deny that this was the practice they were undertaking, which is surprising for a premium agency such as them.... Read more

We recently bought a house where Hamptons was the sole selling agent. I found them very professional, responsive and easy to deal with. I think it's a very good idea that they have a sales progressor to help get sales over the line, whether it's liaising with solicitors or contractors, or between seller and buyer.
