I approached Bridgfords Halifax to discuss renting my property out and requiring a fully managed service which also involved a complete renovation of the property prior to letting. From the outset, meeting and speaking with Sarah Broadbent, it was obvious she has a wealth of experience in property management, understanding the area, the current market and demand for letting. Her confidence and knowldege in the market conditions put my mind at ease that she was the right person to work with, who could deliver what was agreed. She is friendly, confident and professional in her approach and easy to have an honest conversation with. I could contact Sarah at any time and she was responsive in all communication to ensure everything was going to plan. She managed the renovation with ease and ensured she was on top of the contractors and the end result was amazing. The property was advertised and marketed with speedy efficiency and we had a large interest instantly, with prospective tenants who wanted the property within a day. Tenant checks, contracts signed and tenants moved in within two weeks with the top end rent i was hoping for. What more can be said apart from amazing and truly happy with the five star service. The Bridgfords online landlord portal is also brilliant and has everything about the property, invoices, contract information etc in an accessbile, easy to use platform to make managing the property easier. Having just secured a mortgage for my first property, I would like to thank Lee Johnson (Mortgage & Protection Consultant). From the first appointment, Lee was extremely welcoming and his customer service was incredible. Lee was easy to chat with, understood my needs and requirements and ensured these were taken into account at all times throughout the process. Despite hitting a few stumbling blocks along the way, Lee was extremely coherent and persistent and went above and beyond for me to make sure I could obtain my first mortgage. One of the most noticeable things about the whole process was that despite how many queries I made, or emails/calls made to Lee, he was always on hand to provide the answers in a kind and friendly manner. Moved into a Bridgefords- managed property, lured by promises of improvements during the changeover. However, multiple delays, inadequate communication, and unfulfilled commitments have left me deeply dissatisfied. Despite assurances, essential checks, including overdue electrical inspections, were neglected. Damp issues persist, walls and floors remain damaged, no evidence of any change over beyond a domestic clean and the property manager's responses to address this lack substance or accountability. I just keep hitting a brick wall being sent the same copied and pasted message that spots of low odor paint, undetectable to the untrained eye, are a sufficient band aid to all and any query/issue caused by their negligence so far. I included pictures of the walls that they assure me have been painted and decorated. This mismanagement raises concerns about Bridgefords prioritizing profit over property and tenant welfare. Their overloaded portfolio appears to compromise effective management, putting both tenants and landlords at risk. My disappointment echoes a need for urgent improvements in their services and accountability. I hope as a new tenant that my poor experience so far will not continue during my tenancy as I aimed for this to be a long term rental, but based on my experience so far I don't think that would be the case and would deter people from renting from this agency....
