Selling a house is a big project and a massive decision. Like most I invited a few agents to get a valuation and on the face of it they all look the same. It's when you talk to them and more important listen to what they are meaning not what they are saying that you weed out the false promises and clouds of smoke with mirrors. Philip Bannister came himself to my home on two occasions and I found him wholly personable and pleasant but above all credible and although his valuation wasn't the highest it was the most honest. He didn't talk price discounting on any visit or try to pull my home down to make me feel like it should be cheaper unlike others did. After all any fool can sell when giving it away and if the fees sound too good to be true at a fixed rate you know they are already thinking of price reduction. Well Bannisters never did that to me once. Always respectful but not afraid to wound with a few truths that needed airing. I have to say I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone serious about selling their house for a sensible price with bucket loads of honesty and support. Oh and yes they sold my house within 8 weeks in the toughest market in the winter of climbing interest rates. And that's as they say that !!... Read more
