Selling my parents' Fareham home of 57 years it was important to me to instruct an estate agent who demonstrated empathy for the sensitivity of the situation I found myself in but more importantly a depth of professional conduct and knowledge. Tom at Austin and Wyatt was one of three agents I considered, and whilst not the cheapest of the three I could immediately sense through his approach that Tom would handle the sale with the professionalism I sought. Through his knowledge and experience of 25+ years work in Fareham he clearly stood head and shoulders above the competition.
Always courteous and accessible by phone or email Austin and Wyatt returned messages in quick time and if Tom wasn't available his colleague Nathan was on the case demonstrating a good team approach.
I hear people saying that because a buyer is found quickly that agents don't earn their fee, but to me the fee is about paying for all that goes into making that sale possible, then making it happen.

The team at Austin and Wyatt have been amazing throughout the process of buying our house. They’ve always answered our questions, helped us fill out the paperwork required and guided us through the whole process. We were first time buyers so it can be a bit daunting, with all the paperwork and signing of documents, but Tom and his team made it all very easy for us.
I honestly could not thank them enough. They’ve worked so hard and have always been so friendly ????????

We sold our family home within 24 hours and got exactly what we asked for. Tom and the team were always responsive and always put our minds at ease with how proactive they were. I really couldn’t rate Tom and the team at any less then 5* totally awesome.

Looks like we aren't the only ones let down recently, looking at this.
We were due to view a place on the day which turned out to be the lockdown. My partner called up to check of they were cancelling all viewings, which they were. My partner was so eager for this place that she offered to put the deposit down without viewing the property, which she was told no. BUT,, the agent said she would put a mark next to my partners name so she would be notified when the place reopens.
Fast forward to early this week, during one of my partners obsessive checks of the property online, she noticed it was let agreed. In response, my partner emailed A&W to ask why this had happened, to which she received a blunt "because they offered to put the deposit down without viewing".
Double standards, and exremely unprofessional.
My partner was genuinely upset for a couple of days. She had been excitedly planning out the house, keeping her eye on the property throughout the lockdown, eagerly waiting for the to reopen.
Thank you to whichever agent gave my partner false hope.

Ensured us that we were at the top of the list for contact regarding a rental property, only for us to find out that the property was let out without us being told. Poor professionalism.

Tom and his team have been exceptionally helpful during the several months' stop-start process of selling our mother's house in this difficult year. Not being local ourselves, we particularly appreciated the way that they took personal responsibility for our property, accompanying all visitors and organising trusted contractors for necessary remedial works when they cropped up. Nothing was too much trouble; even sending us meter readings on the day before completion! Agents' fees don't vary much, but levels of service do, and Austin & Wyatt should be top of your list when selling in Fareham.

Professional, friendly and helpful service throughout a complicated sale. Tom showed understanding and compassion and completed the sale with dedication right to the end. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a company to sell your home without being made to feel like just another number.

We had a long and somewhat difficult sale , that became a probate sale halfway through. Throughout the process, Tom and his staff at Austin & Wyatt were friendly, professional, helpful, efficient, sympathetic and understanding, with lots of good advice, and made it all seem so much easier. Compared to another agent that I was using at the same time for another sale, Austin & Wyatt were a million times better - I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, and would recommend them to anyone.

Myself and my wife sold our first time buy this year, I wanted to say how happy we are with the service we had from Austin and Wyatt in Fareham, from the very beginning the Branch Manager Tom Onion looked after us both with help and advise, he is clearly well experienced in the industry which reassured us both that we wanted sell with them over other companies.
I can say without any hesitation that if it wasnt for Tom and the Team we wouldn't of sold our Flat so quickly.
We are looking in the next month or so for our next property and I will definitely be speaking with them to see what they can find us.
