Poor service from Karen, had an offer accepted with a seller and she put the house back on the market cause I was on holiday and I only spoke to her once in the week, in which I explained I was on holiday and would move forward when I returned. Will not be dealing with this estate agent again. Waste of time and effort.

After 9 months and 3 viewings l took my house off the market. The current climate of increasing interest rates didn't help plus local competition. W H Brown were good but unfortunately didn't secure a sale. I feel the initial market valve was too high and did choose to reduce the price significantly but it didn't gain more interesr. I will put my house back on the market but would choose another agent.

Excellent service from a very professional, friendly and efficient team - nothing was too much trouble, first class service all round and good attention to detail. As a first time buyer, I went into buying a property with very little if any knowledge of how the process, and mortgages, worked. From the first viewing I feel that everyone at William H Brown has always been putting my best interests first. Hannah has helped me massively with understanding and securing a mortgage, even after my first attempt at a purchase fell through, and has taught me a lot about what to expect in the future. She has always been on the end of the phone as soon as I need her and had kept me updated with everything that has been going on, as well as making sure I have done everything I need to do on time. I’ve felt very comfortable going to her with all my questions, and will be going back to her in the future!

We had an excellent experience with W H Brown in Haxby, following a rather poor experience with a different estate agent in the area. Karen put the property on the market immediately and to a broad audience. Ellaina took over and was extremely good at communicating with us, with the buyers and with our solicitors. Everyone at W H Brown was pleasant, patient and polite. We would certainly use them again and would highly recommend them.
