Avoid. Avoid. Avoid Oliver Sillet is dishonest and lies. As a result of his slippery nature, I am now out of pocket of £400. I found a property through them, agreed a deal with the seller after three bids, paid my mortgage fee, then was told a cash buy had 'knocked on the door of the property and made a better offer to the seller'. Sounded very fishy to me. Avoid. They will say anything for them to get their percentage of the sale.... Read more

I would not recommend the Southbourne branch of Austin and Wyatt for the following reasons: - Accepted a verbal confirmation that we needed to end the contract but the contract carried on after the 14 days and when queried we were advised that the cancellation needed to be in writing. - I sent them an email requesting that the original cancellation date be honoured as it had been accepted by one of their agents but received no reply. - After the cancellation date had been met they did not remove the property from Rightmove which delayed our new estate agent advertising the property for us. They were chased and took 3 days to remove it from Rightmove. - I asked them to provide me with a list of people that had viewed the property through them as I was obliged to provide this information to the new estate agent. Chased twice and 6 weeks later have still not received a reply or the list - I very rarely got a call back when promised and had to chase continually. - They sent us letters that continually got our names wrong and the whole thing just felt unprofessional, that staff were not fully trained and that communication was poor. A very difficult and disappointing service.... Read more
