Well, I can only echo the other 5* reviews that precede this one. We recently purchased our new home through Lex Allan Estate Agents Stourbridge and I can't applaud them enough at the way they handled everything. The team provided such an exceptional and friendly service throughout the entire process. Moving home is always a stressful time, but the communication we received from Jess was just phenomenal and made things so much smoother. She simply went above and beyond to keep us in the loop from start to finish, keeping everything on track, no matter how minor the update or challenging the ask. My only regret was that we didn't use them for the sale of our property too, as the experience there was a completely different one unfortunately. Lex Allan aren't one of these agents that promise to call you back and don't bother, or simply don't answer the phones at times - they look after you as if it were themselves moving house. Exceptional service from attentive staff. I recently decides to rent my house out in Kidderminster and after much consideration decided to use James at Lex Allan. I was very nervous considering the current market place and the burden of these potential regulations but James quickly put my mind at ease. My fantastic tenant moved in within 4 weeks of advertising and I couldn't be happier with the rental amount achieved. If you’re looking to rent a filthy, mouldy house that has been completely neglected, then Lex Allan are your people. After getting the keys to a rented property, we discovered SO many issues including rotting windows, loose brickwork, plaster falling from the ceiling, fire risks, dodgy workmanship (legit used kitchen paper and tape to fix a hole in the wall) and so much more. Lex Allan and the landlord didn’t seem to care one bit about the state of this property and the fact we were supposed to be bringing a 6 month old into it. We were made to feel as though we were being dramatic. Apparently a rotting mouldy damp window is only a “snag”, nothing major, along with doors that didn’t close and windows that took extreme strength to open; wouldn’t want to be caught in a fire in this house! After an incredibly stressful time we managed to get the landlord (who refused to speak to us directly) to agree to end the contract. She kindly charged us a full month’s rent for the 1.5 hours we spent in the house though. We ended up taking it to the head of the company to try and get our money back but he was zero help. We didn’t encounter one empathetic or understanding member of staff. They even admitted they hadn’t inspected the property correctly nor would they live in it themselves, lucky for them it’s us who have taken the penalty though. We decided to let it go and accept the loss of hundreds of pounds because it was causing so much stress and anxiety dealing with it and these people clearly do not care. We thought it was over but now we’re receiving council tax bills through the door for a house we never lived in, so we have to deal with that!!! Absolute insanity. Really pleased with the service I have had all the way through selling my property with lex allen in stourbridge, the staff are so friendly. I esnt to thank kerrie who gave me weekly updates throughout the process and was helpful and gave me reassurance when I needed it which was a god send at times. The system stourbridge branch has in place where you can view your property, see if you have had offers and who booked in for visits is really helpful. I would definitely recommend lex allen so thankyou , after 30 years living in my house my new journey was made alot easier by having such a great team that supported me in where I wanted to be. This has to be the worst letting agents I've dealt with in any country in my life. Nothing but kids running the office. They have zero communication skills via phone calls, emails or in person, it's like dealing with broken automated services as if they no thoughts in their heads. I'm talking about the lettings side as I haven't dealt with the sales side yet but I'd be steering clear of this branch of LexAllan in future.... Read more
