Was keen on viewing a house but some 12 year old kid named Mo who they have manning the phones was completely useless in organising a viewing and eventually said that the house was sold despite not being sold.
I went and viewed the house at another local estate agent who were very good at organising a viewing.
I event put in an offer and gazumped the poor person who had the misfortune of dealing with Mo and Co at Brown and Merry. I am currently typing this review from that very house!
Lesson learnt, when selling £500K+ houses don’t put a 12 year old as your front of house!

I have found this branch very good. Helpful and always happy to be honest about current situations sales and rentals.
I have found Megan in the rental dept very friendly but more important has found me after her hard work an excellent tenant

I did not complete a successful negotiation or sale with Brown & Merry, despite full asking price offers achieved more than once in the space of a month - you would think this isn't possible, but apparently it is with quite amazingly bad representation on behalf of a seller. Regardless, I felt compelled to share (unprompted) a 5-star review specifically for individual members of staff here, who are so excellent, despite disastrous sale instruction from management. Sean & Lauren (office), Sinead (viewings) and Naz (broker) are just fantastic; really good people and excellent at what they do. It all fell down during the negotiations by management, and to be concise, I would not recommend for Shared Ownership resale at all. New shared owners in my building also told me they had severe issues with the same member of staff who is the primary reason I terminated my contract. But credit where it's due for the others who really are fantastic people.

Megan and Wills are excellent at bringing new tenants in, in a timely and efficent manner. So great to deal with. I have a number of flats and i have 'met' a lot of agents and these guys are good

We recently sold our house through Brown & Merry. They were good at the start of the process but as time went on I found they were not so great. We didn't get regular feedback after visits and I had to do a lot of chasing. I'd often leave messages that were never responded to. However, once a buyer was found, Sinead and Lauren were simply Amazing! They kept me up to date with everything and really worked so hard to get the sale through. I also found Tony, the manager, great at the final stage of selling.
