I have bought and sold with Cubitt and West and both times I have been really happy with their service. For this particular transaction, the advertising and early work of getting the property on the market was really easy. Even selling was easy and quick! We got a buyer within a week which was great. We did run into some difficulties throughout the sale but Cubitt and West did a brilliant job and got involved and helped moving things forward. Jo Green in particular is really good to have on your side when buying or selling - she certainly had to put up with me stressing out at times and, Julianna, who was assisting in the background. We couldn't have done it without them. Thanks to all at Cubitt and West!!

We were selling mums house in Dorking and had a senior manager do the valuation of the property.
I do not know if its standard practise to inflate the price to get you to sign a contract with them? But this is how it appears now. The property was valued at £950,000 and was in a good area.
Over the coming months after signing with them we were being told we needed to reduce the price as feed back said it wasn't worth the price?
Almost a year later and the price was down to £600,000 and I was told its about testing the market? To me there's testing the market and just getting the valuation plain wrong to get us to sign up?
We eventually went to an Auction system and have now sold the property. But be warned how much they value your property at before signing.
In respect of the reply from Cubitt & West the price we proceeded with was based on the price provided to me by the Manager at Leatherheads branch a few days before it was placed on the market Not a few years before. Just to clarify.

I have recently sold my home through Cubitt and West's Dorking office. Throughout the transactioin, from initial visit to offer, the team have been nothing but professional. Jo, Grace and the team have kept me informed at every step of the way; offered advice on how best to configure the house to appeal to buyers; managed the offer and BAFO process to a successful conclusion and followed through with a very competent sales progression process (many thanks Juliana).
In a world where many organisatioinal pay lip service to communicating with clients, Jo and the Dorking C&W team actually walk the walk, providing pro-active communications at every step of the sales journey.
