We dealt with Abbeyfords for the purchase of our new home. As first time buyers I cannot recommend this estate agent enough- Elizabeth and the team constantly kept us updated, and continually went above and beyond to ensure the process was as smooth as possible. All of the team are very friendly and helpful and provide a first class experience for both the buyer and the seller. It was a long few months but we finally completed the sale on the 27th May and I'm happy to say that Abbeyfords made the process a lot more pleasant than it could have been with another Estate Agent. For first time buyers we couldn't have hoped for a smoother experience. The whole process took roughly 6 weeks. Abbeyfords were there for any questions we may have or any issues they would solve. Sometimes we would feel a bit silly for asking certain questions because this is our first time, we had never rented before or anything- came straight from living with our mums and dads and saving up. Abbeyfords would reassure us that there was nothing to feel silly about and to ask any questions. They had great contacts- such as Halifax and Solicitors which really helped us out. Even had an issue with the kitchen sink on day 1 of moving in and Peter came out and had a look at it for us. We can't fault them and are extremely grateful for their support. Highly recommend for first time buyers- i'm sure if we ever decide to move we will go to Abbeyfords straight away.... Read more

We are very pleased with the service which we received during our purchase process. Abbeyfords 'went the extra mile' to secure the transaction between ourselves and the vendor (and fully supported each of the buyer's and seller's mutual needs). There were some, quite complicated, circumstances but these are all resolved now and Elizabeth at Abbeyfords was personnaly a huge help to each party to get things done. We were comitted to this property because of it's convenience to our local family, support to my Brother, and various other personal circumstances and we are so glad that Abbeyfords were directly and personnaly involved (Liz with the viewings and Elizabeth with steering the awkward issues through Halton Buildings Control etc.) We would ike to pay further tribute to the vendor Nevett/Fairhurst families for their kind considerations and patience throughout the process. Abbeyfords have recently sold our property for us in Widnes after having no success with another well known national high street estate agents. The staff in the office were very proactive and kept us regularly informed of viewings etc. As we both work full time, the team were happy to show people round the property on our behalf. The property was well described on the internet and the photos were well taken. The personal touch from the team was excellent and I would thoroughly recommend using Abbeyfords if you are buying or selling a property in the Widnes/Warrington area.... Read more

Over the last few years I have bought and sold a number of properties in the north west and I have used various estate agents across the area. Abbeyfords in my opinion are without doubt the most professional estate agency not only in the Widnes area but across the whole of the Northwest!!, the attention to detail, knowledge of the property market, friendly and professional attitude at all times is 1st class. We've just completed the sale of our house, which was rented out for a few years with Abbeyfords. Their service is as good as the last reviewer said – simply outstanding. The property was brilliantly managed, despite a very unreasonable tenant and expenses were kept to an absolute minimum and never marked up.
