Despite a very traumatic legal process and complications with the developer on the day of moving in ( moved in end of November 18 but only legally owned house mid February 19) Sarah Walsh was excellent . She kept me informed throughout the whole process and kept my spirits up when the whole thing looked like it was falling through. Buster showed me the house initially and was very informative gaining me access when required .Superb professionals throughout the whole process and would definitely recommend again and use again .
The right working ethos is key to the success of any company however, policy alone cannot work without the people to execute it. Our experience of Savills Ipswich has been excellent from the start, right through to completion and beyond. Local knowledge has been a key attribute and we would have no qualms in enlisting them or recommending to others their services. In particular, Katy has been outstanding throughout and is always welcome in our home.
I found the Abbotts Lettings in Ipswich extremely helpful, friendly staff who provide a brilliant service. The lettings team exceeded my expectations after a bad experience with another local agent, finding me a quality tenant with little delay. Thoroughly recommended! The sales staff are a great bunch with lots of knowledge.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR RENTAL SERVICES. I have tried over 25 times to call through to the lettings department. They are under staffed, they do not answer the phones. If you are lucky enough to get a call back from anyone you get a poor attitude 0% customer service and the manager Damian as about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. No replies to countless emails and answer phone messages. Do yourself a favour and go with another estate agent as you will be paying for a service that you will never recieve.
We chose to use Clarke & Simpson to sell our farm in East Suffolk having previously got to know them through other farm-related matters. The process evolved over a few months of planning and preparatory work, through advertising and sale negotiation and then contract completion in conjunction with our chosen solicitor. Throughout this time we were impressed by their knowledge of the market, the quality of advice they gave us and their overall professionalism and we would like to acknowledge Oliver Holloway’s contribution in particular. We were very pleased with the sale outcome, despite the market being somewhat past the highs seen in the couple of years before our sale and we highly recommend them.
Found Hamilton Smith really helpful, because I am young I found many estate agents did not take me seriously. However they were very considerate, always happy to explain things in detail and made my house purchase go through smoothly.
Kind, approachable and the staff understood exactly what I was looking for. Hard to find a local agent that is honest and did what they said they would. Kept me upto date with new properties constantly from my first telephone call. Not so good from other agents in Stow some didn’t even get back to me. Now very pleased to have found my next home through leaders. Thank you to Bradley and the team.

Polite and friendly service. Helpful when it comes to tenancy queries
Both Ky and Katie were very helpful, had great knowledge and were friendly towards me from the very first contact. They were able to answer all of the questions about the property I was interested in, they sorted out a lawyer for me to use and helped me to arrange the finance I needed to buy.
The process was very streamlined, easy to navigate and took always all of my stress and concerns and at each point, Katie pointed me in the right direction.
I would without a doubt recommend, and could not be more thankful for the help and support in getting me into my first business of my very own.
Under no circumstances sell your business with Hilton Smythe. We made the unfortunate decision to sign a six month contract with them back in February this year to sell our shop. A valuer visited us and told us that if we paid so much upfront, they'd be no more fee's to pay and if the shop wasn't sold within six months we could simply pull it off the market or go with someone else. It was originally marketed and valued at £50,000.
Initially we had a lot of interest and a sale looked likely. Then lockdown happened three weeks into the shop being advertised and all went quiet until late July, early August. Barely anything from Hilton Smythe. This we had expected due to the circumstances. In the meantime, the shop has been open and trading extremely well. Then come early August, we start being messed around by the agent. Suddenly and without any warning another agent has taken over and is arranging viewings with people who are not properly vetted. We're let down at the last minute by people who don't show up. We then reduce the price of our business in an effort to sell quicker, even then the agents kept calling with offer's well below the new asking price and when we turned them all down, we were made to feel like we're the ones being unreasonable and as though we should just accept any offer.
Low and behold, we have decided to take our business off the market. Our contract ran out on August 2nd, therefore we are now out of contract. But... Hilton Smythe have stated that we have to give them six weeks notice for them to take our business off the market and in this time, we must accept viewings else we are liable for a fee of almost £3,000! We only received an actual copy of our contract, the day we gave Hilton Smythe our notice, which was two days ago. Yesterday, emails were flying back and forth between Myself and the agency over yet another no show.
Hilton Smythe have become bullies and will stoop to any depths. They're not on the sellers side, the very people paying them and they will send anyone, unvetted, to waste your time on the promise of a sale. No matter how hard you try to get out of it, they will use 'the contract' against you. Do expect a level of stress that will drive you to the brink of a nervous breakdown and if you have a decent business, expect it to be adversely affected by bogus buyers phoning them and then you being forced into showing such people around! I urge anyone thinking of selling a business, go elsewhere. I wish I had seen some of these reviews back in February.
