I'll be honest, from what I've heard from many friends who've used Foxtons before, my expectations weren't high. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service me and my flatmate have received so far. In particular, Mariam, who guided us through property search and renting process and is always helpful and prompt in responding to any issues. We are loving the flat and service at the moment and hope we continue to do so!
Wish I could give 0 stars! The worst experience with an estate agent yet, out of dozens, not that the benchmark was overly high either... our guy didn’t even show up for our first appointment, forcing a colleague of his to inform us he had “locked himself both out of his car and the flat he was showing”. This should have clued us into the absolute incompetence of our agent, since handling keys efficiently is probably the one if he most important aspects of his job.
Stupidly, we rescheduled. He continually proved himself to be wholly unintelligent, taking us both to flats way out of and way under our budget, none of which we wanted to see. It was mildly a kidnapping to all intents and purposes.
The cherry on the cake was when he took us to a flat he hadn’t shown before, knocked on a door, lead us inside, and, to the bafflement of the tenants, proceeded to show us around. About 5 minutes in he left the room, whilst the tenants demonstrated the location of the boiler etc, only to return and tell us he had taken us into the WRONG BLOODY FLAT! Imagine our complete embarrassment in learning that not only was the flat not listed with Foxtons, it was not for sale at all!
He did not even apologise or take ownership for these acts of utter stupidity!
Wholeheartedly DO NOT recommend Foxtons. They only care about crunching numbers and nothing for quality or customer service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Awful company, they talk the talk to have you sign up with them explaining how they are best for properties in that price bracket then they fail to communicate with you at all. They fail to return your calls and even when you email to serve notice they simply take the property off and make no attempt to even discuss why you are leaving. Avoid and use a decent estate agent.
My roommate and I were looking for a flat in Limehouse. Knight Frank agency have provided excellent service in terms of contract completion and setting up everything for us to move into the property promptly. Chris Nguyen was particularly helpful in showing us around the place a few times to make the necessary arrangements before moving in and to sort out our reference application. Very happy with the service!
Initial experience is great and very professional but our experience at the end of tenancy was terrible. We were charged around £400 for damages for stuff which was by previous tenants and while some of it was mentioned in the check in report, some of the stuff was never mentioned.
Our fault we didn't look in to too much detail in check in report as we had an understanding with the staff at knight Frank maintenance but she left and the new staff Heather didn't budge. She didn't bother comparing check in and check out reports and we had to eventually pay as we didn't want to get in to the hassle.
The amounts they charge are over priced, for instance key replacement for the window was charged at £75.
Our rent refund calculations were not accounted for and after several polite reminders they looked in to it.
Fantastic venue. In one word the place is BIG. Signs of repairs to the canopy which wasn't designed for such a long use.
Lots of eating places so you will not go hungry. Transport links: bus and tube is literally at its door steps.

Enjoyed the show on Sunday however upon entry into the arena the security remove all drink or food from your bags. This includes sweets that i had for the children's train journey home.
I can understand the reasoning for this in the current times we live in but I do think that this should be CLEARLY stated when booking any tickets.
Once inside you are forced to queue a very long time for very overpriced food and drinks (£10 for a bag of candy floss is a blatant rip off ) I refused to pay the extortionate prices which upset the children so spoiling what was otherwise a good day out.
For a successful and flourishing venue I cannot see any reason for the need to charge over the top prices other than pure greed, for this reason alone I refuse to award even 1 star but have to otherwise I cannot post

I highly recommend Atkinson McLeod estate agents due to their incredible client relationship and services skills. I was mainly dealing with Mark Johnson from Atkinson who was extremely nice, professional, spot on during negotiations, clear, straight forward and honest. I really recommend Mark as an agent to clients looking for someone to look after their tenancy choices. I would also recommend Mark for a promotion due to the level of professionalism he has shown us. They will be my letting agents for a long time.
After a very trying time with our previous estate agents and their management department, my partner and I thought things couldn't be worse next time. How wrong we were. Since we signed the quality of service has plummeted. The lack of communication over several pressing issues has been appalling: it takes multiple emails for a response, and the office seems to be permanently unreachable. Everything has been a battle. Avoid.
Team excellent in general but top marks have to go to Maria the sales progressor who worked tirelessly to get the transaction completed. Thank you Maria!
Unfortunately, 1st Avenue has pretty much cornered the rental market in North Greenwich but if you can, stay away from them by all means! We rented from them for a year over which time I worked with 3 different property managers so I'm pretty sure this is not an isolated case. You will have a smooth viewing and the company will be very nice until you sign the contract. Since most properties are new builds, you may never run into any problems except when you decide to leave. At that point you will find out that you the tenant are responsible for the check out inspection which for us was 140. At that point you will also find that they have sneakily made you sign a clause stating that you are ok with paying 100% of undisclosed check out fees. That's actually in breach of the 2015 Consumer Act but you'll also find that the deposit holding agency does not care to enforce that act and you need to go to court for it.
During out stay of a year, the washing machine broke down. It took 7 weeks to get a repair person and about 10 different phone calls and us talking to 3 different property managers. We had to escalate the case to the office manager a couple of time and we still did not get a clear answer as to whether the landlord will reimburse our laundry costs. We did eventually get our money back but it was like pulling teeth. Oh and also, please don't reply saying that you are sorry and that the MD wants to talk to me. You had a year to do so!
After we checked out, the agency also tried to bill us for professional cleaning despite us having professionally cleaned the property. The issue was that we didn't use their preferred company even if the quality was good.
And if all of these problems are not enough, we had issues with the property which I know for a fact are covered by the builders warranty that never got fixed so by the end of the tenancy, the warranty no logger covered them (I was told so by the inspector that came a week before we moved out) and our concierge had a long list of stories about the lies that 1st Avenue tells to prospective tenants. I can't vouch for all of them but apparently people were let to believe you can park off street at North Greenwich. You are actually guaranteed to get a ticket if you do that; even if the area is under construction!
It's puzzling to me that there are so many 5 start reviews and maybe my expectations are too high but based on my year of dealing with the agency I would certainly avoid them in the future and recommend to friends that they do the same.
