I am writing this so that hopefully others don’t have to experience such terrible service like we have!
After we paid a lot of money and had our offer accepted it took a few weeks for them to send us our contracts. Once we moved in despite them having the place empty before there was still a toilet that didn’t flush, windows that couldn’t open among other issues. They would be rude when we ask about this issues being fixed and three weeks later we still don’t know when they will be. Two weeks in they want to arrange an inspection and make us feel as though we have to tip toe around. When someone else went wrong with the plumbing the provided number was never answered. It has been such a nightmare getting anything to happen with them, and I wouldn’t want anyone to go through the horrible experience we have had to!

Cooke Curtis & co were as pleasant and helpful as anything; up until they had our money in their hands. From which point on, their charade of attentiveness subsided; leaving only pettiness, persnicketiness, and disrespectfulness. If you in any way value yourself as a tenant, you deserve better. Avoid at all costs.

This is possibly the most hateful experience I've ever had renting a property. Not only have I been subjected to lazy and apathetic estate agents but have dealt with being trapped in my own shower not once but twice, only to be blame for their incompetence. I don't ask for much, just to be able to shower without fear of getting stuck. I don't have roommates - its a studio flat so its not a case of being an inconvenience or something; its a death trap. My flat is unsafe and will be unsafe for the next poor sod that rents from Martin and Co. I cannot speak strongly enough when I say that the service is shoddy, the staff are haughty, rude, and truly care about one thing; money. If you want to be taken care of by your estate agents and treated like a human being not a piggy bank with legs, don't go with Martin and Co.
Rachel Hayward really raised the bar of our whole experience with rental finding and visiting. Communication was fast and easy, Rachel responded to our every question with great details. She welcomed me warmly at the property and offered me a ride afterwards. We had small troubles when it comes to payment and was handled with full proficiency and outstanding manner. I am fully satisfied with the service, job well done!
RENTERS BEWARE: I have yet to find anyone at Tucker Gardner who responds to emails or returns phone calls.
It is hit and miss whether or not they will get round to doing repairs, and having moved out of a property rented by them they are holding onto our deposit without reason (or communication).
Before renting from them ask yourself:
"Is it worth the effort?"
We have just brought our property through Vincent Shaw and i have to say it was a faultless experience throughout a stressful time. Jonathon and the team kept us updated throughout the whole process, which when you are a first time buyer can be quite daunting, but it helped to keep our minds at rest knowing that everything was taken care of.

I`ve rented a flat for one year from this agency. In one year, the toilet was blocked for more than a month, the cooker and the washing machine broke down.The flat was leased with a kitchen window broken (could not be open), and with very old furniture. We paid 300 pounds for references, 1000 pounds deposit and, at the end of the contract we were proposed to receive 300 pounds from the deposit because the agency called three different companies to unblock the toilet without even asking us. Christianne Typler, the residential manager encouraged my partner to pee in the bath every time we were phoning to highlight this issue. One of the agents, Alberto who came to show the flat to future customers barely knows english....Very, very disappointed and I would not recommend anyone to use their services.
We are extremely satisfied with the service we received from Jeremy and his team. Living over two hours away, we relied heavily on them to deal with all the viewings and complete the handover with the purchaser on our behalf. We were kept fully informed of the outcome of every viewing and Hockeys managed all offers and responses on our behalf. In summary, there were no surprises and everything went to plan. We would highly recommend Hockeys Estate Agents

I sold a two bedroom semi with these guys. Massive mistake. Didn't seem to be much interest. Found out later that they'd been turning buyers away without telling me, to protect their commission. Really unimpressed.
