I rented with Countrywide from 2016-2018. We had some minor difficulties with the flat when moving in, however these issues were resolved quickly. When things took a little longer, the Senior Branch Manager was really helpful and kept in regular contact until things were resolved. Overall I had a very positive experience renting with Countrywide and would do so again in the future.
Some very rude staff and I would not recommend for letting/renting. An agent gave 20 minutes notice to arrange viewing of flat and when they didn't receive a response in this time went on to let themselves into the flat without my permission, which is illegal according to the Housing Act 1988.
Also I had already emailed before you sent your reply.
Leaving reviews is not something I do very often or not at all in most cases. However... I feel it's the least I could do to express my absolute delight in the service I have received from the team at candleriggs.
In the short time it's took to sell the property, the enthusiasm and professionalism shown by every member of the team has completely blown me away.
Ultimately I'm happy with the sale price but that aside, every phone call I received (practically every day!) had such a positive buzz about it. I looked forward to them phoning :)
One of my best customer service experiences ever!
Well done and thank you very much ????????
Really poor service when you are moving out. It takes almost a month just to get a reference check. I called, mailed, visited here and Countrywide more than 10 times. They don't reply emails, say nothing is wrong, say that they are only marketing branch so can't do anything with the problems. So different from when you are moving in. So stressed out with their disregarding attitude and poor feed back.
Also reported several problems with the flat in September, but got a reply on December. So fast feedback haha
Efficient, professional and informative throughout the process of enquiring about the property to moving in and the week afterwards.
Avoid at all costs.
I was with DJ Alexander for two years, dealt with endless different members of staff. Complete nightmare chasing problems. We moved into a flat which was dirty and in poor condition. Very few of the repairs needed over our tenancy were undertaken (those that were, were undertaken to a very low standard), and no cleaning was offered. Contractors used are of the lowest quality and required cleaning up after.
Agency tried to take our deposit for historic damage and cleaning which wasn't required. Even after providing evidence that the property was left in better condition than when we arrived, we were still charged for cleaning.
It seems the process they have in place is to charge tenants as much as possible to prop up their bank balance. I have no doubt that the previous tenants were charged for cleaning which evidently wasn't undertaken.
Despite government efforts to prevent estate agents holding such a high position of power, this company continues to abuse it's position.
If you *MUST* use this company, photograph EVERYTHING upon arrival and email this to the company as evidence. Never call them as these discussion go unrecorded and ignored. KEEP A PAPER TRAIL, and keep a solicitor on hand!
I sold my flat with Clyde Property in June 2017. Lewis was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and answered any questions I had quickly and professionally. Carol guided me through the sale and gave me sound advice when I was doing the viewings. Overall, I was extremely happy with everyone I dealt with at Clyde Property Byres Road, and most of all, they got me a fantastic price for my property. I could not have asked for more.
Still haven't fixed shower that's flooding since July, don't seem to actually carea about tennants issues.
