I was a busy university student looking for a place in the middle of term - I was welcomed by Callum at the Chancellor's office in Headington - he was extremely helpful, and efficiently organised several viewings for me at very short notice. He maintained communication with me throughout the week via e-mail and telephone, and this minimised any chasing on my behalf. He was kind enough to drive me around in his own vehicle between viewings. He concisely gave me the details of each property, recommending those which were in-tune with my personal circumstances. It was clear that all of the agents at Chancellor's offer a highly professional service, and are extremely kind and helpful, and this was much appreciated.

Completely unacceptable and negligent level of customer service was afforded to us upon providing our administration fee. Enquiries are often me with belligerent responses which place the burden of responsibility entirely on the customer which renders their role in the process to being completely pointless. Should never have given them a penny.
Chancellors deliver! What a team!
Thank you to Andrew and James and I hope you enjoyed the chocolate biscuits. You need lots of energy to keep you going. Such a busy office because you are probably the top letting agent in Oxford.
As usual it took only ten days to find me a tenant.
Chancellors' fees are very competitive and their extremely sound knowledge of the Oxford rental market ensures they price my property at a good rent.
I'd like to make clear that i'm not a disgruntled tenant who lost their deposit. My experience in the property was great. Chancellors were slow to reply to any emails we sent in the build up to renting the property, never able to take calls and generally quick to avoid doing any work.
We asked for specific terms to be added to our contract, which they said was fine and approved. When it came to discussing this with the landlord, they'd had no communication about this and were very surprised. Fortunately the landlords honoured it, but it could have been very difficult for us.
Chancellors also phoned to see if we were interested in viewing the property that we were moving out.
So in short, terrible communication and customer service. But our flat and landlord was lovely.
As a tenant, I was delighted by the service provided by Martella, who was making a real effort to help me negotiate the property I fell in love with, despite my problematic candidacy, as I had many requirements and a dog, who no one wanted to take! She is a lovely, genuine lady, who knows what she is doing and I really hope that we finalise the offer soon. Thank you Martella and Connells for not giving up on me!

We sold our house through Amelies this year and couldn't have had a better experience or received better service. We got the asking price and sold in good time for a very reasonable fee. I highly recommend you use Amelies independent estate agents for a different experience to the usual estate agents
Our experience of Amelie's was 3 years of misery.....
Jessica was inexperienced and cost us a lot of money and heartache. We had to pay 2 fees as she did not do her checks. She offered to pay half the fees to us on the phone and then lied to the Ombudsman saying she did not make us that offer. Cutting a very long story short, she had to pay us compensation for her inadequate knowledge and very very bad advise
If you want to entrust the biggest transaction with someone that advises you to " ignore the Ombudsman " , then, GOOD LUCK!!!
What amazing service! From beginning to end, everything was seamless and professional and we cannot be happier. Thank you Lynsey Pickett from the Oxford branch for helping us find our beautiful home!
I wish Google allowed zero stars because this is what this agency deserves. Very slow with everything (the only exception is collecting money from you!), constantly passing emails to various members of staff, and in the end no one gives a clear answer to your question. When things get tight because they have procrastinated so much, of course it is the tenant's fault, and you end up with no flat and no reimbursement for the fee that you have paid. Additionally, they seem to charge tenants for all sorts of things, and are very unhelpful when it comes to explaining the contract.
Definitely would not recommend.
PS All the five star reviews here seem to have been written around the same time and are quite similar in style. Suspicious, isn't it?
Good service. The letting agent we dealt with Steven Sarbatta is efficient and informative. Smooth application process. No issues so far.
As a tenant i would not be recommending them. After all the fees I have paid to them I would expect a more speedy service from them. The other days we has a plumping issue -there was some irritating and constant noise coming out of the bathroom plumbing- and it took them a week to have someone come and have a look at it. A sleepless week that was.
