Connells - Birmingham City

Thank you Sophie McConkey @ Birmingham city . You have been amazing right the way through I have been ever so lucky to have you dealing with my sale. I cant thank you enough :)

mo yehia

Miserable, rude, patronising staff who refuse to do anything further than the bare minimum to help their customers. I hated having to deal with you and I'm glad I no longer let a property via Connells.

Bairstow Eves Countrywide - Acocks Green

1180 Warwick Road Acocks Green

Very positive experience from a buyer's perspective. Would highly recommend Sophie and her colleagues from a perspective of communication, customer service and transparency. A polite, down to earth , professional service from start to end. Recommended!

DO NOT let from this agent. They are most unprofessional; they lie in order to take your money for services that they claim to provide, but DO NOT. They will tell you anything in order to take your money. The letting agents assured me of many things before letting my property; promising damaged flooring would be replaced, access to the property would be improved ("planning permission is in the final stages"), bath seals would be repaired. Among many others. I had a major water pipe burst, saturating a major supporting wall; the letting agents (whom prior to letting the property to me assured me that the property was FULLY managed by themselves) heartlessly said that there was nothing they could do, they couldn't help me. After my first year of letting from this agent I opted to leave; and find other accommodation. My landlady gave me a false, and negative reference (stating that I had deliberately damaged the property) stunting this move. Again, the letting agent said that they could not help; they did not care, thus forcing me to continue the let (with the landlady refusing to fix the damaged property, it was up to myself and my wife to find the money to patch up the damage). Utterly appalled by the service provided by this agent. I urge anyone NOT to let from this agent. I hope these cheating manipulative animals sleep comfortably in their cold beds.

Connells - Kings Heath

93 High Street

The lettings staff in this branch are fantastic. Very professional and helpful In every aspect. Let my property within just a few days just like they said they would. Try them for yourselves you won't be disappointed.

Miss M

Rented a house through this branch - worst rental experience my wife and I have ever had (and we've rented several times before). The main person who was handling our application was in no rush to start the process, and then when it had been started we had so much hassle getting all of the checks done that it was looking like we'd have to put back the original date we'd been working to for moving in. This could have been made easier with some help and empathy from the staff at this branch, but that's not what happens here. When we eventually got past the referencing stage we had around 3 weeks left to get everything sorted. We were told we'd have contracts emailed to us within days - didn't happen. We ended up having to get our new landlord to agree to let us move in as planned, and were still waiting for the contracts until the day after we moved in. And because an email address was entered wrong, one of the people who needed to sign something had to wait even longer. We were told that this part of our sorry saga wasn't down to the staff in the branch, this one was the Connells admin team - but at least it shows it's not just the people you're speaking to in the office, oh no. It's the whole company who are totally incompetent. I know it looks like I'm being harsh on the people in the office, as they were trying to help us move in on the date we'd planned, but that is countered by the fact that I asked for and was promised answers to questions I'd raised along the way, and I got absolutely nothing back. Plus, the amount of money you're expected to shell out means that I expect people to do what needs to be done, and to show me why they think their time is so valuable. On the day we moved in, we had another email asking for more information to complete the records. Something that could have been asked for several weeks before, and that they expected someone to make a 100+ mile round-trip to provide. Again, no consideration given to what their thoughtlessness had resulted in, just an expectation that we do what they're asking as quickly as we possibly can. So if you're considering going into a Connells - be it Kings Heath or somewhere else - do yourself a big favour and look elsewhere. Or at least go into an application knowing that the people you'll be paying an awful lot of money to, won't really care what happens along the way, until it comes to the money part. They're very well prepared when it comes to that. Oh, and the inventory check that you pay over £100 for - make sure you check it very carefully - with ours they missed the water meter and had no reading from the end of the last tenancy.

Cityends - Birmingham

1620 Coventry Road, Birmingham

Very very helpful they are.

kamran gulzar

Terrible and spineless company. They knowingly gave me a bad tenant who smashed up my house and ran off with two months’ rent. They do no vet new tenants and will give u a bad one just to maximise their profits. They were very reluctant to initiate an eviction order so I had to switch to Prime Properties who did the job. If u get a bad tenant, u are on your own as they’ll back off. I can’t recommend them.

Alex Smith & Co - Hodge Hill

23 Coleshill Road, Hodge Hill,, Birmingham, West Midlands

Many thanks for all your help in selling our late mom's property. You have been professional from the start. Special thanks to Amanda. You have been great

Lesley Sharred

Very poor service. Will always promise to 'call you back same day' yet on multiple occasions either no contact or house already been sold by the time they have. ESPECIALLY known to inflate price to avoid people buying then price will drop dramatically before being immediately taken off the market. AVOID BUYING, AVOID SELLING
