What an incompetent agency save your self the pain and use someone else Sunday before Christmas two viewing booked first one no show so I called the client direct to find out he had cancelled with AG a few days before but know one could be bothered to tell me second client no show so again I contacted them direct to find that the agent had not contacted them to confirm day and time so all in all thank you AG for wasting my time I will now remove the property from AG and find an agent that is interested in conducting business in a professional manner.

An excellent example of good old fashioned slimy estate agents, thankfully a dying breed now. Push their 'modern auction', which is actually just a way of tripling their fees. One particular agent lied to the vendor's solicitor, saying I had pulled out of a purchase when in fact I had refused to accept their change of sale type and demand of £5000 to proceed. I asked twice on the phone what this payment was, and he pretended not to know. Claimed that the massively increased agent's fee hadn't affected his advice to the vendor. Needless to say, their completion was held up as their next buyer took much longer than we did to exchange contracts. Only winners were Andrew Grant. Go elsewhere if you want an honest agent.

In response to your comment, you can ask the vendor's solicitor why they told my solicitor they thought I'd pulled out, and then ask Duncan Saunders why he has failed to respond to my request for him to deny that he said this. I find it hard to see sincerity in your offer to discuss, as you have my contact details. You obviously don't intend to do anything about this, just weak public platitudes in response to a negative review.

Second comment, it is quite plainly a lie that the fees are similar- a £5000 'reservation fee' is far in excess of the standard of 1.5% or even 2% you ask from sellers. In terms of transparency, your customer is the seller not the buyer.

Service and advise from agent was very good on house sale proposal

Phoned up today to view a property, I was asked what our position was I explained we are looking to buy or extend our house I was told we couldn't view the property. I don't know how they intend to sell houses if you can't view them.

"The landlord may consider your application in a few weeks if there has not been any further interest and the property is not let."
That's what the agent said. So If the landlord can consider the application in a few weeks time, he could do it now! So if I really want to rent the apartment I should wait couple of weeks hoping that no one will be interested in the property, so the landlord can possibly consider my application. If not, I should go to sleep on the street? They did not accept the offers that I've made. The agent kept saying that I need to have a UK homeowner as a guarantor because I've been self-employed less that 3 months. Well, the guarantor does not necessarily have to be a homeowner in the UK but the agent kept saying that's their requirement even though he couldn't show me a written proof of that. At the end they just didn't want to give me back the deposit that I have paid (£103).

I have many issues with Andrew grant (especially in Worcester).
My mother and stepfather were looking to buy a house back in September 2018 and when my mother walked in and asked about a property she was asked why she was wanting details from it. Implying that she couldn’t afford to buy a house. From then on, she would call to leave messages about the property and she’d have no call back.
She decided to visit the house and met with the homeowners who were very lovely and offered to have a look around. They are the ones who contacted Andrew grant to tell them to let them view the property. It took months for them to get back to my parents. And through the processing communication was awful. Just to let you know they finally moved in this March 2019 (money was never an issue despite the horrible judging).

Now twice me and my partner have applied for properties with them to rent and both times we have had no communication throughout the processing.
The first time the way I found out our application wasn’t chosen was because I called up to check how the application was processing. They claimed that they contacted us 4 days prior. They hadn’t.
This time, it was my guarantor who contacted them to ask if anymore information was needed and they told him the application was rejected 3 days prior and that we were informed of this. We weren’t.
The communication with Andrew grant employees is atrocious and if you want anything done you would have to call them 2 times a day to make sure you don’t miss anything.
