This agent fees for letting are far more than the average with poor service in return! They told me my house has a tenant ready who’s willing to pay full price so that I take it off the market from a different agency - but then the tenant they had in mind backs out and they refuse to give me her deposit money. At the same time I lost a potential tenant from the other agency.
They try to cheat you on money. Every time they have tried to calculate what they owe me after the fee deduction has been wrong (this is at least 4 times) - lucky I don’t trust them so I check throughly every time.
They tell you they have found a tenant that wants a long term let like 3 years and the tenant wants to pay 6 months in advance, which they do for the first 6 months. After that the tenant says they can’t affird to pay 6 months advance instead they just want to pay 1 month in advance and will move out much earlier than expected. This has happened twice in a row. I think this is a trick, they must be telling tenants to do this so they can secure the property. They also make you feel tied in so for example if the tenant moves out earlier than expected and they usually take 1 year advance of fees, they make u feel like you need to re let through them which is in fact not true as you can’t be forced to do this and can report it to the property ombudsman. They have a lot of tactics like this to drain money out of you. The cleaning company they send over costs an extortionate amount and they never do a good job so don’t trust them!
The management team have never been proactive with getting rent or chasing rent. Sometimes they are late to pay me not through the fault of the tenant but through their own incompetencies and they refuse to pay me a late fee! The management team have made very awful mistakes such as doing a check in inventory for new tenants and after that arranging cleaners making the inventory useless - and no I didn’t get a refund for this. Their letting service is definitely poor and I do not recommend them unless you want to be rinsed out of money with an appalling experience! Please stay away from this company

I have had to deal with Chancellors in Stanmore regarding the purchase of a property. I have been disappointed by the incompetence, laziness and rudeness of the staff at Chancellors. When I have asked them for important information in regards to the property I have been told I will get a call back within a few hours and have had to chase daily for weeks to get a reply. They also have the audacity to lie about things that have been said in previous conversations, as well as losing important documents.

We also booked viewings with Chancellors however the people who owned the houses we were coming to view didn't know about the viewing. This happened on two separate occasions.

I find the team here utterly unprofessional.

I'd recommend using Gibbs Gillesbie in Stanmore as they can't be worse than Chancellors.

If i had my way i would give chancellors NO STARS. WORST ESTATE i have come across
They way the SHELIN HAKKI an JABEZ WILLSON dealt with me was not good
Very POOR customer service
They was fast to take my £160 pounds
But after that never hardly hear from them.
I had to keep running them down sending email after email calling the office for them, leaving a message for them to call back an they never did. I had to go personally go into the office to find out what was going on.
To find out on line that property i put my money down for was getting letted out from some one else which they knew all along, wasting my time stringing me along. But the funny thing is i found out that they letted the property to some one else but they still took my £160.
Please people if you looking to rent i ADVISE you NOT to chose chancellors in stanmore

disgusted by the way my daughter was treated by the office staff(ms Allen) after she had moved into a rented property. I am still waiting for my money, owed by the company---bearing in mind that my daughter vacated the flat in February. Really disappointed in agent with such a famous tag to it.

A very big thank you to Joshua Ambursely as he has been a great help in finding me a new property. After having difficultly securing the first and second property, Josh's perseverance ensured that I have now secured a property - which is better than the rest! Furthermore, Josh ensured that all viewings were exactly to my requirements and given the limited timelines i was working with this was a great help!

Not very happy experience as landlord. Firstly not honest about tenant's pets; secondly not a single inspection had been done through out a year untill I finally got hold of area manager towards end of tenancy agreement;Last, when it came to re-marketing my property , they seemed not very motivated, apart from pushing me to drop price. I gave three stars because the people working there are friendly , polite and sound professional even in challenging situations. When it comes to doing job properly, I would not recommend them. Will not use them again .
