Here again after i thought it was over and done with !!!
So me and my wife purchased our first freehold home a new build.
we found out that we had a management company for cutting grass maintenance ect...
after the first year we had our first bill of £182.50 and I thought this wasn't to bad.
coming up to the 2nd year was sent a bill for double that as I hadn't paid enough for the 1st year.
so we paid it.]I sold the property march 2016 and had to pay out a further 5-600 for my le1 pack and charges I hadn't paid again.
so on sale my solicitor tells me they need to hold back £500 incase I hadn't paid something although I have an email from Atlantis to say my accounts are paid in full and today I find that atlantis have taken a further £386 that I owed them as the end of year accounts have been done.
Do not use this company under any circumstances, the amounts you pay rocket .
And now 9 months after I sell my property I am still paying for there mistakes and trying to get them to send me proof !!!!... Read more

Used Atlantis in 2014 - The single worst letting agency i have ever dealt with, moreover utter and complete con artists. I left my property in a better state than I received it in and Atlantis still wanted to take my entire deposit and even had the cheek to tell me i owe them further money on top of that. I would urge anyone looking to rent in Reading to go to Haslams, Parkers or any of the other firms to be fair I would also urge homeowners and landlords to stop doing business and encourage them to pursue any depsoit disputes legally as i got a lot of mine back - Just steer well clear of Atlantis. Worst business I've ever dealt with.
Just reading some responses from the "owner" on other comments.
1. Andrew Strong is not the owner John Sykes is, why isnt he responding to these reviews? I'll tell you, becuase he is a notoriously bad businessman and a con artist who lives in the Bahamas. Thats okay though we'll ignore that.
What about Andrew Strong purporting to not being a letting agency? Pretty sure i rented a house of you guys last year, pretty sure in fact that you cover at least 30% of Reading's letting marekt?

Atlantis have taken extortionate amounts of administrative fees from my partner and I. They dipped into our deposit at the end of our tenancy and left us with a fraction of the original amount despite there being no damage to the property. Furthermore, throughout the tenancy they found bogus charges to apply to us in excess of £100 each time.
Atlantis always responded to emails promptly and they did send workmen round when we had issues. However, the office staff were unfriendly and exhibited unprofessional behaviour such as calling us, threatening eviction etc. to chase money which we had already paid. This happened on numerous occasions and each time they essentially responded with 'oops, yes you have paid this'.
They present as a professional company but this does not align with our experience. The money that they have taken from us, though legally sound, is unethical. We were always professional and polite and attempted to find out how they justified the fees applied at the end of our tenancy, however, they never provided us with an adequate answer, instead repeatedly referring us to vague legalese in the tenancy.
I only wish that I could have had more foresight and steered well clear. My advice is not to enter into a contract with this company, we have since rented with another letting agency and have had a totally different experience, the business practice of Atlantis is not typical.... Read more

Avoid this company at any costs. Every email sent to this company with requests for service (which they should provide as a management company) is ignored. The only time they communicate is when they want payment. If you're choosing management company - AVOID them at any cost.... Read more

An absolutely shambles of a company - they manage my flat and consistently fail to send invoices, try to charge twice for services they don't provide, don't return calls, give inconsistent answers to basic questions... the list goes on. Everybody associated with this firm should be ashamed of themselves, they absolutely couldn't be worse.... Read more

Crooks, plain and simple.
Charged for services that weren't provided on more than one occasion, including a nakedly fraudulent attempt to remove £200 from my deposit.
Constant mistakes made in scheduling, following by attempts to bill me for the time they wasted.
Rude, unhelpful staff who don't respond to emails and, in person, promise whatever it takes to get you out of the office then proceed not to do it.
Avoid these criminals at all cost.... Read more

After dealing with this company after the purches of our home I can honestly say the incompetence is unreal. It has taken 7 months to get our service charge in order but only due to me chasing it constantly.
Now we in the middle of selling the property I am struggling to get the relevent paperwork I need and this is now holding up the sale and we are getting nowhere fast.
I made 2 payments 3 days ago to be told by accounts it takes 3-5 days to clear yet when I call the bank it had cleared within 2 hours of both payments.
2-3 weeks to do an accounts book for our buyer that costs over 300.
As if it wasn't stress full enough.... Read more

I STRONGLY PLEA with anyone who values their money to AVOID AT ALL COSTS this company. I moved out of their property over 2 months ago. Upon moving out, I was told that I would be paid my deposit within two weeks. Here i am over 2 months later still waiting for my deposit. I have lost count of the number of times i have called and been spewed what appears to be a line from a book of excuses that this company uses. I have never encountered a less honest company, they continually make promises of contact of which never occurs. When it comes to you giving them money their communication is spotless but as soon as you require anything from them, it is as if they go into hiding. I will continually post reviews and updates ongoing until my deposit has been returned. If i could give 0 stars i would.
I wrote that paragraph in November/December. It's now February and I am still yet to receive my deposit. I went to their office on the 11th of December and an agent of theirs LEE RICHARDSON promised to pay me the deposit by the 14th of December. I have tried but failed to reach him a few times since then because he now ignores my emails. This company is filled with LIARS AND THIEVES. They don't care about the customers... Read more

Property listings are matched to data from the Land Registry by our clever algorithm. Clever as it may be, it isn't always right, especially if a property was listed by multiple agents. The asking price is the original listing price, NOT the final listing price.
