I had a truly awful experience with this agent as a landlord. Firstly i must mention that Will Moss was exemplary in his service to me in helping me check out the tenant after I terminated my contract with Bairstow Eves. Its a very long story for the last year but i had a new tenant move in one year ago and problems in the flat were not dealt with a in a timely manner either with the tenant or myself. Communication and follow up by the agent was extremely poor. In amongst many problems that were not dealt with by the agent for example was the very serious problem of non operational smoke detectors. This was highlighted and noted on the check in by the agent and tenant - i was notified and gave the go ahead that these smoke detectors should be fixed immediately as not only were they a moral safety measure but also a legal requirement. 7 months later i only accidently found out through a visit to the flat by myself that they had not been fitted despite my authorisation to do so. I have a complete email trail of failures on behalf of the agent to communicate in a timely manner to me and execute necessary works. I decided to try and sort out my grievance with the branch manager Joseph. However i had to make many calls to him before he rang me back - i had to chase very hard to get a face to face meeting with him. After about three weeks i managed to pin him down for a meeting only for him not to turn up. I finally managed to meet up with him and went through all my grievances - he said he would get back to me but 2 weeks later he had not come back and i had to chase again. At this point i was having to manage problems with the flat myself and it appeared Bairstow Eves did not care at all about my concerns - i had given them the chance to make amends but they just didnt come through. I was extremely unhappy that BE had knowingly allowed my flat to run illegally and unsafely without smoke alarms - How can a company their size allow this? I decided that it was best to run this flat myself rather than carry on trusting and paying BE to run it for me - so terminated the contract. A most regretful agent experience - poor communication and poor service.

A Wonderful estate agent. Staff are marvelous, always on hand to help with queries. Kept me updated with my property purchase all the way through to the end. There are a few things out of their hands but still managed to get through. I thoroughly recommend them. Namely I would like to thank the lovely Gideon Bello for showing me the property in the first instance & the wonderful Barbara Millings, the Branch Manger for getting the keys into my hands. Thank you all.
