The worst agents I have ever dealt with. The property we moved into wasn't cleaned beforehand. There was mould stains around windows, dead spiders hanging from drawers, rubbish in the bin, dried food spilled out into the drawers and cupboards. I had to delay my move in date because the unfinished apartment was still very much furnished. I had to source them a removal van only for them to turn up late meaning I had to clear the furniture out at 5 months pregnant. After 3 weeks, the bath cracked and collapsed because the supports had rotted away. It took 3 weeks for them to fix this. Rising damp and mould plagued us for 6 months where we were told it's not a priority despite my being asthmatic and pregnant and having a toddler. It took a call to environmental health to start getting things sorted and even then they lied about what works were booked in. One of the worse things was probably having a faulty boiler that leaked for months.
Email communications are so rude, particularly from Andrea and Mandy, we cannot bear to continue conversing with them and it's hard to log a complaint as they are 'not allowed to divulge details of senior managers'.
They changed our direct debit forms by hand so you can see it's a staff member's handwriting then accused us of paying the rent a day late each month. It's just a shocking establishment with a disgusting way of conducting business. If you've a property to let, don't expect it to be managed well. If you're looking for a rental, don't expect anything once they have your deposit.

Can't rate the guys in Bromley highly enough. I have rented many properties in my life and always felt deflated using agents, confused by the fees and the service. Michael Babafemi is an absolute joy, he is genuine, courteous and will go out of his way to make sure you feel like you are getting 100% in customer service. I would definitely use this agent again. Thanks Michael

Brilliant agents. I chose curran and pinnar to let my property in December. February still no tenant. Andrea came round took pictures and Michael had 3 offers within a week. I agreed tenants and they are moving in at the end of the month. Either Bairstowes are genius or the other agents are just really rubbish! Either way I am so impressed and would highly recommend their services. Extremely professional and proactive.

I was recently informed by my current lettings agent that my new tenant wouldn't be moving in after i spent the weekend getting the property tidied and redecorated after the last tenants that agent put in to my property really didn't leave it in the best condition.
My faith in agents was restored today as my new agent Andrea has found me a tenant today and is ready to talk about the move in date (I AM SURPRISED AND OF COURSE OVER THE MOON AS I ONLY ASKED HER TO SEE ME ON SATURDAY. SHE EVEN GOT ME MORE MONEY)
We had an ambitious plan to market, sell, buy and move house within 4 months. We looked online at all EAs in York, and quickly realised that Bridgfords had a lot more properties like ours for sale than any other. We visited Bridgfords in York, and David Ridgeway there gave us a huge amount of confidence that the ambition was realistic and achievable, mainly due to the high demand for the type of property we were selling. David rapidly got the information together, used his top photographer, and very shortly the property was on the market. David told us the odds of it selling at the price we wanted, and I am very happy to say that he was absolutely right - one week after going live online Bridgefords held an open day and the property sold two days later to a very high quality buyer.
In the meantime we were asked if we would consider using Bridgfords for mortgage advice. I have always been wary of being ushered in to such agreements, so made sure that we shopped around and did our homework. We did go with Bridgfords, and Clare Tumber was fantastic. Again, a delightful situation where everything Clare said came to be. Our mortgage for our forward move was approved first time without any hassle.
Allie Cook at Bridgfords took care of communications with our buyer, and was always extremely polite, friendly and genuine. She was also an extremely good communicator. I always felt in safe hands knowing that Allie was the contact for our buyer.
All in all, our ambitious plan happened exactly how we imagined it. It is not possible for there to be a better service than Bridgfords as it was perfect throughout. Everything they said came true, their advice was very well balanced, and they were always always courteous. It was not a stressful experience. Highly recommended.
It was important to us that this move was handled professionally and with as little stress as possible, and myself, my partner and little boy are all very happily moved into our great new home, mainly due to Bridgford's fantastic staff. Where's the option for 6 out of 5? :)
The Bridgfords lettings office was professional in every aspect of their service. I was impressed with the care and attention that was taken in explaining the letting service to me and making sure that I not only understood but was happy with everything. Every member of staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The service was efficient with a tenant moving in within a few days. It has been a positive experience.
Been trying to contact bridgfords letting for over 24 hrs ( including leaving messages on the automated answering service but no one bothers to call back or reply to rightmove email enquiries) finally got through by calling direct lettings number I found on Internet, the property I was interested in had old photos re published and this has happened before with another house we were interested in. The photos were about 8 years old and totally differently to the house we viewed. I find that lazy and deceptive.
Enough said ( especially when you have took time out to drive out to a property to view disapounting) )
Bridgfords York has been the worst experience for us. So many problems after renting that started in September 2014. Whenever there was some issues to be addressed in the property regarding repair and maintenance, we needed to call them many times and despite that they haven't addressed the concern. Most of the time, we needed to go to their office to get our problems listened. The pain is continuing even after vacating the property as they are not releasing our deposit. After the checkout, they sent an email to confirm the deductions and said the money will reach my account in 3-5 days, but nothing has happened even after 20 days despite calling them many times. Now, they ask us to write emails to them to release the deposit. I don't know what they were doing so far. Never seen such unprofessional and inefficient behaviour. I hope I will get my deposit back or I will need to settle this via court.
