Being a first time seller, our experience has been awful and we regret choosing balgores over the other estate agents. From day one they got our strategy wrong by over pricing our property, leading us into false hope. This resulted in 2 weeks of wasted time, no viewings and the start of our frustrations. Our house was described as an 'easy sell', after 3 months on the market we received just 6 viewings and no offers. Did it improve from there on? Unfortunately not, the experience of the staff was clearly not apparent, communication breakdown between staff and ourselves were a constant presence and the overall service and experience has been a nightmare and complete waste of time. Wouldn't recommend unless you're willing to sell under price, in Essex and enjoy making endless phonecalls for information.

We bought and sold through Balgores. The sale went well and was handled very well. Our first attempt at a purchase was awful... we spent weeks being strung along by sellers who were being dishonest. When the director got involved, he made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about despite his colleagues agreeing that the sellers were being dishonest. I found this attitude to be very very disappointing and nothing was resolved as we chose to stop the attempted purchase as we were getting nowhere. I wish we would have pulled out sooner as it caused so much stress and everyone was so fed up with the situation. We decided to purchase through another agent and didn't look through Balgores for our second home because of this. Overall the sale and correspondence throughout with Connor, Josh, Andrew and Jason was fantastic and they always did their best to keep us in the loop. Sorry I can't say the same for the director.

Fantastic service. Balgores helped with my first home, and made the whole process as smooth as it could have been. Michael stayed an hour after the close of business two days in a row to help me progress quickly with finding the right mortgage. He gave balanced, fair and useful insights with mortgages. The other staff at Balgores are also really friendly, responsive, and I would thoroughly recommend using their services. I will definitely consider using them again if I need property agents in the future. The lawyers they referred me to (APL, based in Leeds) and Countrywide solicitors were also very good. It was useful to be able to rely on Balgores and it certainly paid off. Thanks Balgores team!

George and his colleagues were amazingly efficient, providing good advice and support all the way through our sale and subsequent move. Despite being in a fairly long chain, their commitment to progressing things meant that everything went through surprisingly quickly. They were quick to return my calls and answer my many questions.
