We live next door to a property Beals manage. Repeatedly asked for a fence to repaired, utterly ignored for weeks, we have a dog the tenants have kids so both restricted on how we use our gardens in the middle of summer. We reported the issue 8 weeks ago, emailed multiple times since, tenant told today “someone will look at it Monday” I was told it was due for repair shortly last week. If you’re a tenant avoid Beals, repairs will take six months and if you’re a landlord know that the maintenance you’re paying them to manage is largely neglected!

We were having problems with our estate agents so we swapped to Beals, but they weren't much better. If you like not being contacted until something is late, then having a member of their staff expect you to do it yesterday and have them shout at you, tell lies about what you said and generally stress you out, then Beals is for you. I personally preferred the helpful staff at Sparks Ellison (who we bought through).

I rented property with beals, they were very happy to take my money. After few months I had huge leak in my house and I ended up reporting landlord to enviromental agency. After house was inspected it turned out that there are multiple hazards within property including level 1 hazards (endangering life).
Beals did nothing to aknowledge this and pretended that they didn't see my emails. And keep covering for landlord. They knew about issues when they rented this property.
Now I try to recover my deposit and 4 weeks and 6 emails later I still haven't received deposit back.
I strongly discourage anyone to use this agency, they don't respect tenants and what they doing is criminal.

The property was suitable and we even offered to pay 12 months rent in advance!! The agency called today to say the landlord has had a change of mind! The property might be going to a family member. The agent then said the property will remain on the market. He then finished by saying the landlord was unsure of these particular tenants occupying his property!! It is sickening that the truth behind this is the colour of someones skin! Disgusting behaviour!!!

At the initial viewing my partner mentioned the fact that the estate agent wasn't the friendliest of chaps but we continued as we loved the property. As time passed we quickly got to realise that Alan really wasn't keen on selling this property very quickly which was very different from the initial conversations we had had and he just didn't seem bothered about us. He took annual leave for one week and assured he would contact us when he got back, but we heard nothing for over 2 weeks. After 8 weeks of waiting and the Vendor still not having completed the solicitors "welcome pack" we pulled out. Not to mention we gave Alan over 7 days notice that we would be looking at alternative properties, when we pulled out Alan was very rude and abrupt (understandable if you're a salesman who has just lost a sale) however you should never show this to your customer, even if they are moving away from your company, as you never know what could happen...
I would never use Beals again after this experience with Alan. We kept asking for updates and were brushed to one side with excuses after excuses. Shocking.
I'd advise using a company like Stanford who not only are a family run business with their customers at the forefront of their business model, but have been extremely friendly and eager to help where possible.
