Came to Belvoir after having a bad experience with a private land lord who messed us about for 3 weeks straight. The process was very straight forward, and it took us less than 2 weeks to move into our new home. Would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Friendly staff and very professional, clean and bright office. Went through everything we needed to know as new tenants clearly and concisely. Would recommend!

Always super helpful via phone and email and kept in good contact throughout process of arranging viewings and moving in. Always polite.

I have been wanting my heater fixed for coming up to 2.5 months now. My baby’s room is freezing and it is winter and nobody at Belvoir seems to want to do anything to get the job done. I don’t know if it’s their contractors that can’t be bothered but there Seems to be no urgency to want to get anything done. Every time I’ve been told I will get a call back I never do and I find myself calling everyday. I am extremely unhappy with the service provided.

Since I put up my review I was called swiftly and my problem was resolved

I'm really unhappy with Belvoir Leicester.  After raising serious concerns with the property which I rent, at a high cost each month, there has been no follow-up communication from them. I have been left to chase trades to get jobs completed and when the trades are too busy to fit in the jobs  they just don't get done with no follow-up from Belvoir.  I'm also concerned to hear about the previous post as I also have a serious damp problem which is through no fault of mine.  I am considering my options.  As a family we intended to be at the property long-term which I'm sure would have pleased the landlord but enough is enough.

I’m not sure if it’s just them or the landlords of the property they manage, but I have wholeheartedly recommended people not use this agency. Their communication is atrocious, I reported things in April that haven’t been addressed, and they seem to be doing all that they can to not do their job. When I requested things get fixed, they’re excuse for not doing anything was that the flat was below market value. That shouldn’t matter and you should still take care of your property. If you see the Belvoir logo in the corner - RUN. I genuinely don’t understand how they’re highly rated given their poor customer service and quality of care.

Been looking after my portfolio for a number of years cant fault there services. Aasim sourced us properties rented them out for us and sold for us the full package. Cant fault the company

Possibly the worst estate agents in Leicester very unprofessional took a day off work to view a property on London rd only to be told five minutes before the viewing that it's no longer available as an application has been approved I was already at the property when I received the email no phone call or anything was made to me after calling up I was bombarded with an array of excuses when asked why I wasn't informed when I called up two hours before I attended they simply said they find out last minute once again no apology or anything which was a shame I lost a days wages and taxi costs avoid this place if you value professionalism!!! I thought I'd seen it all then I met belvoir.

Very disappointed by the unprofessional conduct.
1.Arranged a viewing, the letting agent did not turn up. I called the office, they informed me that the agent was on their way. 10 minutes later I called again and they then informed me the agent could not make it, had not set off and had in fact double booked.
2. I arranged a booking for another day. They then called me, informed me that they could not even access the property that week so the first viewing(same week) booked also could not be carried out.

This is a shocking agency!!! They showed my daughter a property with exposed wires near a gas flame in the kitchen, and just said there's no legal requirement for an electrical safety check. The place was dangerous, for goodness sake.
Landlords, steer clear; if you're someone looking to rent a property, steer even clearer.

Great communication. Cannot fault the staff here as they always follow up any queries and give feedback in a timely manner.

Our tenancy was transferred a year and a half into our tenancy. During the tenancy we were misinformed about rent amounts and repeatedly told we owed when we didn't. Once we had left, claimed an unreasonable amount on damages (done by previous tenants and events out of our control) on the deposit which has taken 6 weeks after the tenancy to resolve.

Atrocious is the best word to describe this company. This started by me booking a viewing which I thought was booked. Turned up at the property to find out that they had never booked the my appointment. Then had the audacity to say on the phone they had never specified which Monday that it was booked for. So I booked the appointment under my partners name instead and guess what they cancel again. Ask to speak to manager for the second time and no response. And all you get is a pack of lies about how it’s not the company’s fault. Well I feel sorry for the property owner because they have simply lost a sale.

Having now used Belvoir Lettings on Queens Road a few times now; I couldn't recommend a better Letting Agent! 
All the staff are personable and ultimately knowledgable about my property. 

The tenants they've found have always respected my property.

What a wonderful and refreshing change from the previous letting agent. They are all friendly, whilst offering a comprehensive, informative and professional service. They keep you informed of every aspect of the property and tenant. The team of workmen that they deal with offer excellent services at competitive prices. I cannot commend them highly enough.

Friendly and efficient service. The house had an offer almost immediately. Asim went the extra mile, even going round to read the utility meters on completion day.

Fantastic customer service from all of the staff at Belvoir-Leicester.  Our questions were answered promptly and we are very happy with our flat.

Absolutely amazing. They were quick and efficient. We delt with vinnay who was so easy to get on with and nice. Also venita has been so patient and wonderful would definitely recommend Belvoir.

Helpful, quick, and and brilliant service. The guys at the office helped me find a good room, despite I disposed of  a really limited amount of time to move. They were professional, fast, and always willing to help.

Strict and stiff moving in conditions , disappointing moving out and good treatment in-between!
Stringent conditions. They insisted to add my wife as joint tenant and to carry out a separate credit check for her although I am the one paying all the rent. Strictly asked for a proof that I was moving out from the previous accommodation before accepting my application. I obviously wouldn't risk giving a moving out notice to the previous landlord and being homeless before securing my new accommodation!

The tenancy period itself was 6 months of good interaction with Belvoir team. They were cooperative and very helpful. 

Unfortunately, the process of moving out of the property was a painful experience as they took unfair amount of the deposit. They purported the required fees were for professional cleaning and change of the bulbs, professional cleaning of the carpets. We definitely left the carpets cleaner than how we received it (it was full of hair and my wife had to clean it again).

 The only fault is that my wife spent a lot of time and effort cleaning the apartment before moving out for them to say simply it is not a professional cleaning and take 140 pounds for cleaning and 90 pounds for the carpets+60 pounds contractors fee to do the work. I feel really sorry my poor wife wasting her effort.

They didn't even make any effort look at our inventory feedback which we sent with photos proof. 

They asked us to pay for a cracked fridge door that we reported in the beginning of the tenancy. It wasn't until I sent them a reminder of the feedback and a photo proof when they accepted. 

They asked again to pay for replacement of light bulbs that wasn't working and we reported in our feedback. Shockingly, when I sent them the proof they amended the required fees for cleaning and bulb replacement from 135 to 142!! 

My advice for anyone would be:
1) Take photos for every thing and report when moving in.
2) Take photos (again) for every thing before moving out to prove your effort 
3) Don't waste your time and effort cleaning things and get a professional cleaner to do the job 
4) If you discover a defect in the carpet hidden under furniture after the reporting period, don't change the position of the furniture and keep it hidden. ( our 2nd fault was changing the position of the sofa exposing an old burn mark that they considered our fault.

Never had a problem with Belvoir, communications are clear and everything seems legit. Had really dodgy letting agents before, so these were a breath of fresh air. Only criticism I have is how they pronounce the name – we're in Leicester, it's Beaver not bell-vwar!!

Belvoir only did the tenant finding part of my letting, I contacted the landlord directly after that. The process was fine but staff didn't seem amazingly 'can-do' when I needed to print a copy of a bank statement. If I hadn't argued for them to let me print it from their office it'd have held up the process for a few days unnecessarily.

We used Belvoir to rent a professional property this year. The agency is helpful and has very willing employees. Prompt in arranging everything for us, albeit with a longer than average application process (& thourough). Overall I am continuing to be happy with their services and will definitely use them in future.

**recent update for those interested. After 15 weeks of no shower, they still haven't repaired it. I still have no working boiler. Csnt afford to just move out. They've lied about fixing the repairs, and suddenly a new repair (that I never reported?) has appeared that they're trying to charge me for. If anyone is interested, ive got all their phone calls and emails saved stating work has been done. The new contractor they use, Ben Barnett, is illegally Trading, yet they still use him to cut costs. Their staff have called me a r*tard, broken my car as stated before. The agency is being reported to the police, ombudsman and are now being sued under severe emotional distress. I've had to quit my job due to these people. Obviously, none of them have a shred of decency. They'd likely let their own parents die if it would save them a fiver. Avoid at all costs. They will ruin your life. Put me out of work, and into a hospital. * To add to this. This estate agents has now pushed their abuse further. Sending a man round to threaten to stab me, beat up my neighbours, damage my car. Lied about their manager existing who I've met 3 times with a video recording of threats to me. Harassed my guarantor without even contacting me. I have had no shower for 8 weeks, my dishwasher hasn't worked for a month. No boiler since I moved in. Environmental health have actually demanded repairs and they still haven't fixed it. Now forced a retaliation eviction as the won't lower rent, refund rent or fix repairs. Ignored complaints and consistently lied to me and my neighbour.  A fire next door to my building made my flat uninhabitable, belvoir continued to say it was fine despite no front door for over a month. Charged rent when I couldn't live there, won't repair any damages, moved in with a piss soaked sofa and cigarette burned carpet which was never sorted. Checked online and most of these reviews are seemingly fake. The local people in the area have all had problems with them holding money, claiming on false repairs, hiking up the rent charges. They ignore emails, phone calls, charge for referencing but won't actually give out a reference. I'm personally taking all of this to court and they've been made aware but ignored every message and phone call.

Belvoir are the worst company ever. I have over 90 photographs of evidence on poor maintenance. Contractors beat up my partner for questioning their work.
Leak in bathroom from shower upstairs still not fixed over 3months later so we had to fork up costs for temporary accomodation to keep our family safe. Roof of the bathroom then fell in!!! 
Mould in every room that only ever got painted over. We paid for a dehumidifier to try and keep the place drby. 89%+ humidity!!
So many other issues...

The agent has arrived 15 minutes late for the viewing, not even apologizing for his delay and  spoken to my partner in a very rude manner.
The property was an absolute biological bomb, mold all over the place, very poor insulation, greasy kitchen with a sticky floor, and filthy bathroom. The agent could't answer if or how these problems would be fixed before renting the place and seemed eager to leave that place asap.

Absolutely disgusting company. I have friends that I visit regurlary in Leicester and the property they rented was filthy when they arrived and infested with rats. They have claimed no responsibility and taken hundreds of pounds from them with unfair admin fees and forced them into paying for a cleaning company even after the awful state the house was in.

I have used Belvoir! to manage property for almost 10 years and they have consistently come up to the highest standard. The professional level of contact, liaison and co-ordination between myself, the tenants and also with outside contractors has been smooth and I really haven't had to chase up anything beyond what they said would be done. Top marks and I'll continue to use only Belvoir! in the future. 10/10

NEVER deal with this company, they let out deathtraps as livable accommodation, wont ever take ownership of problems, they take their time to address issues, one flat went nearly 2 weeks without lighting and the problem STILL hasnt been fixed. Most Tenants are taking or looking at taking these to court.  None of the properties confirm to current building regs. Appalling company.
