Having missed out on a couple of other properties we were interested in a property that was sent to us on the "property notification" email service. We rang the office and John said he could meet us there in half an hour which on a Friday afternoon was above and beyond my expectations. He then valued our property and marketed it professionally. Viewings were always accompanied, generally by Claire who was very friendly and enthusiastic about our home and a successful sale was negotiated. Eileen is a great asset to the business and relentless at chasing up outstanding matters and I do wonder if the transactions would have gone through without her input.
We recently had the misfortune to engage the services of the John Couch estate agency of Ilsham Road, Torquay, Devon, TQ1 2JG. After 9 months of abject and dismal failure to find even one prospective buyer who was in a position to proceed, we took the decision to terminate the agreement. This failure to find a buyer was caused, in our opinion, by a ridiculous and unachievable valuation placed on the property by this agency. When respected property websites were quoting an average of £305,000 our property was given a valuation of £349,000 which served to deter potential buyers. At this point we felt very strongly that we had been taken for fools and been subjected to a mixture of false promises, misleading information and a complete absence of the duty of care which was our legal entitlement. The closest we came to a sale was when an interested party was introduced who, in the exact words of the agent, was cash rich and the purchase of our property was not reliant on the sale of hers. Despite strong misgivings, we allowed ourselves to be persuaded to remove our property from the market for two vital summer months to allow negotiations to proceed. Subsequently, her sale collapsed and she withdrew from our deal. We later discovered that the purchase of our property was entirely dependent on the sale of hers and that she had not even exchanged contracts. We felt at this point that we had been extremely badly advised by this agent having lost two of the best months of the year to sell a coastal property. This exercise in futility cost us almost £1000 in wasted fees. In any and all future property dealings in the Torquay area, we intend to adhere to our “ABC rule”, i.e. Anyone But Couch. We look forward to this agency exercising its right of reply at which point the full story will emerge. Christine & Geoff Faulkner.
A massive thankyou to the girls at millers for selling my property. Natalie came round and took my property on to the market with outstanding knowledge of the property market, this was then followed up with Emma selling my property quickly and efficiently at a good price. I used Jenifer the mortgage consultant for my onward purchase who was also very helpful. Cheryl then chased this through to exchange and completion and nothing was too much hassle for them. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to sell their home.
I would like to rate as 0 but this wasn't possible. Customer services are appalling, Manager Mr Seymour has a very over inflated opinion of himself and clearly suffers with delusions of grandeur , Incredibly unprofessional with a disgusting attitude
Fantastic brilliant service would highly recommending this company easy to work with reasonable and reassuring in everything they do. They go out of their way to help you the best estate agents ever seriously. Beth was excellent very positive and practical good sense of humour with a sense of waiting to do her very best. A massive credit to her and the company thank you once again Spencer and kris and cheyo x

L azy: No communication, have to always chase them.....
L iars: Fobbed off with excuses.........
S candalous: No loyalty, No morals, No decency.......
The worst experience I have ever encountered. Who ever manages the branch is clearly unable with NO people skills.
The only positive that has come from this grim experience is my
passion to warn any other decent folk to save their souls & steer
clear of Connells..........................DISGUSTED !!! Shame there is not a
NO star option.
Naomi and Sophie on the lettings team were great. Very professional and knowledgeable. Very helpful when we were having difficulties with the vetting website. (not run by your Move so not their fault) sorted it all out for us and the move into the apartment was smooth and painless A great team cannot praise them highly enough!.
I personally had a bad experience buying with Your Move and the team. I understand that they work for the seller, but it was clear and obvious that it was me versus them from the get go. I wasn't supported with my queries and buying the property became an unnecessarily stressful experience. On day of completion not a single person in the office offered their congratulations. Would not use them to sell, and if I could help it, I wouldn't buy from them again.
Amazing service. We accepted an offer 5 hours after the property went live online. Hannah and Sam kept us informed of every step and were always available to answer questions. I cannot recommend highly enough.
We were talked into accepting a much lower price for our house than we had 3 other agents value our house at.
We had no option to to pull out of the sale as we were 20k short to move on to where we wanted to go.
Main male agent is arrogant and difficult to deal with.
Alex and the other female associate were lovely but were sent to do viewings and had not been here before. We had to take over the viewing and answer all questions as the associates had no idea. For example they said there was no electric in the cabin when there is. Not there fault as they should have been sent to do a pre-viewing. I would not recommend this agent at all.
