I applied to rent a house with my son through this agent. We were subsequently turned down with the excuse that my son could move out, despite the fact that my son would be named on the contract with me and would live with me while we try to sort ourselves out in a year. So therefore we would be breaking contract if my son moved out. Which either the landlord didn't understand or it's a lie. Subsequently I then received a letter from the post office with our application form inside that had been found loose in the post. This is in contravention of GDPR as it had our salary details, employer details, address and phone numbers on it!
I would not recommend these agents to anybody.

Charlie particularly has been an absolute gem. As always with selling houses and buying houses there can be difficulties along the way. When needed Charlie was always available and used his priceless knowledge and experience to navigate us through. This is the second time we have used Charlie. Buying off him and selling through him. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you Charlie. Keep up your good work and a huge thank you again for helping make it happen. A note for Charlie's staff too as whenever Charlie wasn't available Holly particularly was always in the loop and was incredibly helpful. A great firm!

Before working with Carter and May, my experiences with estate agents in both the rental and real estate sectors were consistently poor. However, Ben from Carter and May completely changed my perspective, proving to be an exceptional professional.
In the past, we were subjected to deceit, manipulation, harassment, and gaslighting by various local estate agents. As a result, we considered using a free online estate agent service to sell our property. Deciding to give a new firm a chance, we turned to Carter and May, and here's what happened:
We found ourselves in a critical situation where we needed to sell our house within two weeks. Ben accomplished this in just one week. When a subsequent chain breakdown occurred, which was not Carter and May's fault, we had to sell our house again. Remarkably, it sold within three days of being listed. Ben's good understanding of the market and his ability to sell houses quickly was evident.
Throughout the sale process, Ben made a point to regularly update us on our sale's progress. This communication was invaluable, as it kept us informed every step of the way.
Ben proved to be honest. His transparency and openness about his motivations and opinions from the start built a foundation of trust. This allowed us to engage in sensible discussions later in the buying process, enabling us to make informed decisions.
In conclusion, my past frustrations with estate agents had led me to view them as a poor investment and a detriment to one's mental health. But with Ben from Carter and May, I am pleased to report that there is at least one estate agent who is truly worth their fee.

A courteous, professional and friendly experience throughout our house sale. Tim was superb from the word go, patient with our requests for amendments to the listing, accomodating our busy schedule with two young children around viewings and professionally negotiating a tumultuous house sale. Highly recommend.

Totally useless. Came to look at my mother in laws property. Never came back to confirm despite emails and calling in at office in Salisbury, so went to to another agent and sold within 2 weeks at over £500k. They obviously didn't want the business or the commission .

Jake (Director) was extremely helpful. However, we ere a little disappointed to be contradicted by 'a person in the office' about the arrival of people who were viewing - contradicting what we (and those viewers) had been told about the time of the viewing

My wife and I cannot praise too highly the professionalism and communication skills of Ben Clark who dragged us out of the depressive mire our own so-called agent had lead us to.Effectively he did the work of both buying and selling agents and saw the deal through after over a year of confusion.
