    Saw the change of guard, was not a very exciting experience. Drills performed by the guard were extremely simple, did not understand the hype over it. The uniform was nice though. Extremely crowded so be early to grab a good viewing spot.

    Did not see the changing of the guard, so take this review at face value. If you are there to have a look around, take a walk through the park and make a stroll of it. The Palace and Victoria Memorial are iconic and quite beautiful. Without seeing the changing of a guard, you're essentially there looking at the exterior of a building. Still worth the stroll however.

    Great historic experience, make sure to get there well before 11am to get a front row seat (guards start the change at 10.45am and best vantage point is on the palace side of the fountain). If you're lucky to be there early enough, you'll hear the new guards band over at the barracks warming up, they played Katy Perry's "Fireworks" this morning. The whole thing takes around an hour and we even got to hear the band play the Star Trek and Star Wars themes (no joke, they seriously played it!). A must for your first time visit to London.

    Visited Buckingham Palace as part of the summer opening in 2016. We booked several months in advance with the "Royal Day Out" Package that included the palace, Queen's Gallery, and Royal Mews. The tour included a specific admission time for the palace, so we ended up waiting around outside between ticket times. Luckily we were able to watch the changing of the guard while we waited. The tour itself highlighted 90 years of the Queen's fashion, and it included some amazing pieces. However, the size of the crowd made it difficult to get close to some of the more popular pieces. It looked like some of our fellow guests were struggling with the audio guides, which slowed down the queue as well. Once beyond the fashion portion, several rooms of the palace are open for viewing. The first thing that I noticed is that there are Victoria and Albert pieces EVERYWHERE. This obsession can't be healthy. We purchased the guidebooks, which were a great help as we navigated the rooms. Space to sit is scarce, so be prepared to be on your feet for 2-3 hours. There were small shops set up in the back for refreshments at the end of the tour, as nothing is allowed inside. You then take a long stroll through the gardens to the exit, which we found a little confusing when trying to navigate to the nearest tube station afterwards. Overall the tour was great, and will be enjoyed by any Royalists who happen to find themselves in London during August.
