Snowflakes here . Asking for id to use a trade card. Asked for bank card or picture id. Vut you can show anyone bank card if they have a account. Wont be shopping in there again . Wicks is a lot better and cheaper... Read more

For such a large store there still seems to be shortages in departments. In terms of plant range and health, there is nothing special in terms of plant types and the majority of plants are kept in good health. Furthermore, there always seem to be a shortage of checkout staff and lines quickly form. But the staff are still courteous and friendly. Overall, a good in-store experience on the weekend.... This is a big store... They had what I went for, nice and friendly checkout staff, loads of parking. Had hand sanitiser and disinfect spray at the entrance, and lots of mask wearing. It was as much of a "normal" shopping experience as you could imagine at the moment.... Read more

On Tuesday 30th March sun shinning I was in the middle of power washing my patio etc. Machine of 10years packed up. So in my scruffs I go to B&Q . Very busy people buying for the Easter weekend. The machine of my choice not available. However 2boxes on the very top shelf. I ask sales guy to help me. He gets out the huge ladder and tries to put a complete machine together for me. Parts are missing of each box. So I decide to purchase a different make a Bosch same price. He took it out of box to show me how to put it together. He was so helpful calm and relaxed about the whole experience. Brilliant service wish I had taken his name.... Read more

Went on b&q website looking for plant troughs..was so nice to be able to check stock,& be able to reserve items to collect in-store, but was impressed to also see that b&q tell you exactly where the item is located in your chosen store,which is always going to be so helpful to most of us.Checkout was quick,overall,a very decent experience.I'll definitely be visiting b&q again in the near,&not so near future...... They have a good selection of Christmas trees that won't break the bank. Picked up a 7ft tree for £30 which will fit the home nicely! There are a wide variety of house plants too for a reasonable price which would be perfect for any home or garden. The big open space makes it easy to navigate whilst also keeping a 2m distance from other shoppers.... Read more
