Never buy from this Estate Agent !
After viewing a property and putting in an offer which was accepted. I advised the agent that I already had my mortgage and Conveyancing in place and as my offer have been accepted I instructed them to proceed with the purchase.
I was then contacted by their mortgage consultant who tried to sell me a mortgage with them. I declined and said I already had a mortgage arranged through another adviser and had instructed them to start the process to proceed with the purchase.
The next morning the agent phoned me to say they had received another offer (which was the same as my offer ) and would proceed with that offer instead of mine. They also advised me that they had contacted my mortgage broker and told them not proceed with the mortgage for me. We have since discovered that the other purchaser is in a chain whilst we do not have a house to sell.
This amounts to sharp practice because I would not use their mortgage advisor. I wasn’t aware that when buying a property through an Estate Agent you have to be dictated to by them as you who you should use to get you mortgage and if you did not obey their rules you would be excluded from the purchase of the property.
I then spoke to David in Connells office who was very rude and ended up putting the phone down on me. He blamed his manager for taking the other offer.
Absolute disgraceful and unethical and we will never use or buy a property through this agent again.

We purchased our property with Connells in Rushden and we cannot thank Kelly David and Euan for all of their help during what can be a stressful process. In particular I must credit Euan for giving us some expert financial advice and sourcing the best mortgage offer. The whole process from start to finish was handled expertly and I would strongly recommend the team should anyone wish to purchase a property. After having a rough start with another agent David came out to speak to me. I was feeling very anxious about using another large company however David was very honest and always available when needed. Kelly supporting him in the office was amazing and answered all questions very quickly and professionally. They both made the process straight forward and as easy as a move can be. Also would like to praise Euan for helping us get a mortgage look forward to using him again when my product is up for renewal. Highly recommend.

Having recently had to sell my late mother's property I was very pleased with the support and professional approach to what was a bitter sweet time for myself.
I found David very thorough and professional in all that he does and always talked me through everything and was always on the other end of the phone if I had any problems. The sale went through very smoothly and they were a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend connells and I would use them myself in the future if necessary.

My experience with Connells was one of speed, I found a property on right move and decided to view. I contacted Connells and the viewing was arranged for 2 days later. After seeing the property I put in an offer and it was accepted. I used the in house mortgage broker as I am a lifetime member and everything went smoothly and quickly. I think its said moving house can be the most stressful time, I found the speed of Connells and the amiable staff to make that part as stress free as possible. The knowledge of the staff and turnaround of queries is great.

The guys in the Rushden office were a joy to work with. They all had a passion for their job and literally bubbled with enthusiasm.
The sale was done and dusted in 90 minutes, from when Grace walked in with her lovely clients to when I received a fone call from Kelly with my first offer.
This surely must be a record for any Connells branch.

Just had their solicitors call to tell me I no longer had my property on with Connells, but did i want to still use them. In the two weeks i have been with Connells i have had no viewings and their sign board is in my front garden, no wonder no viewings if their solicitors think i have taken it off the market, they could only have got their info from Connells staff. I'm happy to take the sign down and they can pick it up. From 5.30pm no answer from their shop number. Go figure!
