Gave my keys back on the 1st, terminated the tenancy on the 4th and no update on the deposit and my emails have been ignored since last week. When called and said that my tenancy states I will get my money back within 10 days after termination the guy said “yeah I know”. Absolutely ridiculous. Recently had a horrendous experience with a Customer Service Administrator at this company. After not replying to any emails I sent, I called. She (won't name anyone because I won't rise to be as rude as they were to me) claimed to have told me my rent was increasing when she never did, even quoted an email I had, but this did not state the rent was increasing. Funny how apparently this email was written differently between mine and her screen! She then proceed to be EXTREMELY patronising about me questioning this, saying she knows it 'may be a lot of money for me' and 'have I looked at other properties in the same area' and tried to very rudely announce that I was getting a good deal. I only wish I could type the tone of voice this was portrayed to me in. There was a clear tone that she was disgusted by the fact I'd even questioned why the rent was increased. I had only asked in the first place because it was never mentioned, and only reared its head to me when I was sent a renewal contract. She then proceeded to infer that I couldn't afford the increase (this was never why I had originally questioned it) and in so many words assumed that I could not sign the contract. It's a shame there was no way around staying in my flat and not communicating with this team because it was a truly horrendous experience. I would avoid if you have the chance.... Read more

Lie and say they are putting you on hold and hang up instead. Put rent up every year when it was extortionate to begin with. I recommend asking them for the landlord details which they are legally obliged to give and bypassing them and letting the landlord know what a scummy company they are using.... Read more

Absolutely disgraceful company. Wanted us to live in a damp/mouldy apartment due to lack of action on repeated water coming from the apartment above and when we left they wanted to charge us for the clean up of the mould, claiming it was for the bathroom and kitchen even though we had left them spotless. If they had competent staff they might have been aware mould is the landlord's responsibility in these instances. We were also sent rude and threating emails when we said we disagree with the deposit deductions and will be taking further action. Avoid these scumbags.... Read more

The flat above mine which is managed by country wide repeatedly had a leak which caused damage to my flat below. The previous agents had this fixed within a few days, but it has been over 9 months correspondence (or lack of) from country wide who just tell me to contact my insurance. It is the upstairs landlord who need to go through their insurance, they are just trying to avoid paying or dealing with the issue.
