Once Foxtons have your details they will not stop contacting you. I have asked them repeatedly to remove me from their database, but they continue to call me every few months. To the point it has now become more than a tad annoying.. They also charge almost twice the going rate compared to other estate agents in the area that offer just as good a service. Save your money and go to someone who offers as good a service at a much better rate.

Disappointed that the Foxtons agent in Barnes, London had charged excessively for a service that felt entirely biased towards the landlord. The service before contract signing was fine but from negotiation stage onwards, the attitude from the manager turned appalling. I suggest only landlords need to pay them.

Avoid renting a flat if Walthamstow office will be your property manager. I live in a flat above one that is managed by them. The tenants moved out, and the cleaners left bags and bags of rubbish outside. We’ve seen rats now and strangers are going through it making me feel unsafe in my own home. I’ve called Foxtons 7 times over as many days, been fobbed off constantly and it’s still there. I’ve had to call Foxtons head office to speak to someone that wasn’t rude and abbrassive. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere that was managed by them and I suggest you avoid too.

Please consider this a warning from a 20 year old student that just moved in London. Foxtons has found us a good property, but living into it has been a nightmare. They are supposed to be 'managing the property', when actually every time I call to reach my property manager she is not there. Lets do a list of all the problems we've had. First, we arrived at the home and the previous tenants had left ALL their stuff (not even talking about hygiene conditions). So we had to take everything (clothes, luggages, shoes etc...) and put it out on the balcony for them to pick it up - which they did weeks later ( WEEKS). Second, the electricity and water bill of previous tenants was not paid - so to who did it fall to ? Us. And now whats happening ? We need to coordinate with electricity provider and foxtons (which of course don't answer) for us not to have a cut of electricity/water. Third, no information was given to us when moving in. The inventory reporting was really incredibly bad, and when asked about the meters for water and electricity, they we'rent even able to tell me where it is !! Oh and did I forget to mention they plan to kick us out of the house in the middle of the contract :) ? Please everyone - that's a warning... be careful with who you go with.. Attached is a picture is all the stuff we had to keep on our balcony for weeks.
