Consistently realistic appraisals of property across my 20 year association with this fabulous, independent company. Everyone has been dedicated to finding the very best fit between landlord and tenant as well as buyer and seller. My rental property was occupied permanently for the 20 years I owned it and brilliantly managed by Green & Co for all of that time; they dealt with everything. Similarly the sales team were sensitive, patient and just lovely people! Certainly the most professional service and accurate communications I have had from an estate agent ever. Overall my experience with Green & Co. was not fantastic, the main issue that I felt with the company was that they are not prepared or used to dealing with young adults looking to rent with other young adults. It was clear that their primary client is one of a family. I found some staff to be quite patronising when talking to me about the property as if I was a child, and didn't understand what I was getting into. Perhaps they should understand that many people in their mid-twenties have had multiple experiences with renting and do in fact know what is required from a tenant.

Of particular note is when I was first liaising with the company before having been accepted the property. Me and the other tenants entered the office of the company to deliver proof of ID among other things, prior to signing the agreement. The attitude shown at this stage by the staff was shocking as we were actually ignored by most of the staff on arrival, not many people looked us in the eye, nobody welcomed us to the company or introduced themselves, many not looking up from their desks. Likewise when we were leaving the office, I distinctly remember making an effort to thank the staff and say goodbye, to which I was met with silence. I believe this was due to our age and not appearing to be a typical client or tenant. This may feel quite minor however it set a negative tone and image of the company which I struggled to shake afterwards. The year I spent with the agency did not provide any evidence to the contrary and therefore explains my two-star review.

Had a viewing arranged on 26th June 2020 at 11:15 am and having arrived on time and waited 10mins knocking on the door with no answer, I called ( at 11:25 which I have the call log for) the office on the number given, asking if and when the agent would arrive to show me the property (this agent was not from the Great Barr branch) she said she will try to find out and call me back, which did not happen. I called again at 11:49am after having been waiting there from 11:15am. This time I did get to speak with someone from the Great Barr branch, after explaining the situation she said she will call the agent that should have been there. After a while she called back saying that the agent was there until 11:25am and left because nobody showed up. What a ABSOLUTE LIE for him to say when he was not even there as I had called the office at that time after having waited outside since 11:15am. If he had been there he would have seen us there waiting but no he would rather lie then be honest about his unprofessional behaviour. As I can't name the Male of Asian origin who wasn't there, working from the Great Barr branch... I hope that they will improve the service as I will not be using there service's to purchase my home....very poor
