Great experience with Hegartys. All of the staff at the branch are lovely, friendly and super helpful. We did have a few issues with our photos which couldn’t be helped (technology), however I always believe it’s how these situations are dealt with which matters and Hegartys were great.
Our property sold within a day or 2 of being on the market and it sold above asking price. Hegartys did value our property higher than what we decided to go on the market with which shows their valuation was accurate.

Terrible company, absolute shambles. Will not let you view a property when requested instead book you in next week then accept an offer from someone else without canceling or even letting people view. Shockingly bad!!!!!!!!!!!

They advertise a house for sale, you view it, and speak to the girl on the desk to ask if there are any offers, get told yes but all under the asking price, so we offer the asking price.
The next day we get a call from Carla, who says there are other offers, would we like to increase our offer.
Erm......... why would we increase an offer when house prices are going to drop like a bomb in the next six months, we have a mortgage in place, can move just like that and the try this trick?
Advice is not to even view their properties, they put them up for cheap prices to trick you, then try to push the price up, isn't creating a bidding war illegal?
Wonder what the property Ombudsman would think???

The ladies at Hegartys branch in Houghton le Spring sold our property for us in 4 weeks! We moved 6 weeks after our STC agreement. This was a really quick process and the girls advocated really hard for us throughout the whole process. Their support and dedication to our family made difficult processes, a lot easier. I recommend you consider them if you are planning to sell/ let your property.

I choose Hegartys because they were local small agency and I thought they will work hard for their money. Let’s just say I couldn’t be more disappointed. Photographs that they made were looking like they’ve been done on a phone without flash, they made mistakes in property description, they even put photos of my neighbors garden instead of mine. When criticised they always have some excuses instead of doing things right. I cancelled contract with them and sold my house after 4 days with another agency. Don’t waste time with them.
