I would give it a 0 if I could! I rented a property through this company, and ever since the viewing, I have constantly been lied to about the fixes that would be made to the property, a clean before I moved in, and other things that were never done. I dealt with an agent named Arsida Kalimashi, who had poor communication and sold me a pack of lies. When I complained to her manager, Maria Reynolds, she also lied on behalf of her employee. The property had many viewings on the day I visited, so I couldn't see it properly, but it looked okay. Arsida mentioned all the things that would be fixed and also lied about which furniture would remain in the property. To make matters worse, she told the landlord that I had seen and accepted the inventory list when, in fact, she never sent it to me and lied about it. I took the property under the condition that it would be deep cleaned and issues fixed, but guess what? It wasn't done at all. I can’t express how poor the condition of the property was: broken fittings, a stinky and moldy sofa and washing machine, marks all over the flooring, a dead soil bag and an old table on the balcony, a loose front door handle, an oven in very bad condition, broken freezer drawers, a heavily stained mattress, and more! Arshida had one job! She did not even visit the property before I moved in to see if everything was okay, and no one from Chestertons visited the property either. They only seemed interested in their commission and lied at all costs to get it. In the end, I arranged for a cleaner myself, and the landlord was sent the invoice. To top it off, I complained to her manager, Maria Reynolds, who was even worse than Arsida. She lied to my face, claiming that Arshida had checked the property but showed no proof. Anyone with common sense would know that this property was not ready for a tenant, and if it is, then you are absolutely deluded. Honestly, this company just wants their cut and nothing more. They are manipulative and run by people who have no care or respect. Avoid them at all costs; I would rather pay more for a property elsewhere than deal with Chestertons. NEVER AGAIN!... Read more

Check in/our reports vary massively between inspectors. Blamed us for perfunctory bulbs in tbe kitchen and for leaving an 'extra' ironing board which was present at move in... Even told the first bi-annual inspector about the bulbs but that it worked fine enough without them, must have forgotten to write that one down. Would not recommend.... Read more

Upon arriving at the time and location for the scheduled viewing & waiting 10 min, no sight of any agent and no message response. I called the agency enquiring about the issue and they have told me that the agent was supposed to but forgot to cancel my viewing. I didn’t receive any email, message or notification regarding this and has resulted with a waste of time. Also no apology from the agent herself. Very unprofessional & an unpleasant experience.... Great experience with Andreas at canary wharf office who helped sell my property on isle of dogs. Solid professional service right through the process not just the viewings and sale piece. This was a tricky sale due to EWS requirements but Andreas handled it like an expert. Would recommend for this reason.... Read more

Arsida from the Canary Wharf Branch, helped me so much with renting my apartment. She’s been very kind and patient with me, answering every single question I’ve had. She lets me know beforehand if there’s technical issues that are being sorted out and makes sure I’m apart of the conversation as well. With her help it’s been a smooth and easy process to rent out my flat. It’s so easy to communicate with her and get in contact with her since the start of the process. She’s been dedicated to helping me with very little detail. She’s was able to push my move in date when I had asked her and gotten back to me very quickly. It was an amazing experience working with her. I would definitely recommend Arsida to anyone who’s moving for the first time and is nervous about where to start. One of the worst agencies in London. The story is too long and the list of problems/mistakes is even longer! I just mention one thing on top of everything: they fix the bathroom door handle after one year! And this is just the cherry on top. They change constantly property ‘’managers ‘’ and there’s never the right person for your property. When we moved to the property we gad to use a storage for an extra month as the flat wasn’t ready (!!!), we hsve been requesting the refund for the storage for one year, and just last month they told us that the landlord doesn’t want to refund us! Disgraceful and unacceptable! Avoid them at any cost!... Read more

Great experience with Harrison Brown from Chestertons. He was on it from the beginning to the end. He made sure to keep us updated if there were any issues regarding the viewings and was keen to answer any questions we had. Anything he didn’t know he always chased for us and got back to us within a day. Once we signed the contract he still kept on top of communication to ensure the move was going smoothly. Horrible communication with agents. Minimal updates were provided throughout the letting process and they failed to inform us of many things that needed to be done. We had to call ourselves throughout the week leading up to our tenancy requesting status updates. They also did not inform that keys were to be picked up at the branch itself and not at the property, luckily the landlord sorted the situation for us. Just found out that they seem to try a scam when you move out. You pay for their partner cleaners, even then when you move out they try to ding you with fees with cleaning. Has happened to at least 3 in my friend group and we all realised we all were with Chestertons. You’ve been warned.... Read more
