Wish I could’ve bought through the local estate agent; Brunel Estate Agents. Ideal Homes epitomise a big company that know nothing about the property, the area or any legal requirements. They market properties with gardens that aren’t owned by the property, don’t bother advertising the parking at properties with parking in areas where parking is at a premium.
When they accept your offer they wait weeks to actually send the memorandum of sale, then during the sale don’t bother to keep you up to date, chase the seller or update you on changes such as the seller pulling out! Total incompetence on every level. Wouldn’t buy or sell with them even if they paid me to.

Ideal Lettings Torpoint, let a property which did not have the adequate facilities as described in the advert and contract. The advert also did not disclose, which they knew about and so did the owner, that the property was on a pay meter for both gas and electric which is the highest tariff possible and very expensive to heat an old damp house. Issues were raised and they were filed. Unfortunately this company only works for the landlord / landlady and did not support the tenant. Worse letting company I have had to deal with by far who also knew the property was blacklisted and ruined my credit whilst there hence the rush to leave. I recommend taking and time stamping as many pictures as you can as they put good clean condition in every room where it's not and you then have a fight at the end for your deposit to be returned in full!! .They were quite rude once you have given notice to leave. Avoid

The estate agent which promises a five star service and offers one star at a push. The tenancy was one where not only was basic facilities for the property not fixed but also the advert did not disclose that the property was on a pay as you go meter for both gas and electric. This is a major factor as it’s the higest tariff and the landlord/ landlady gets the credit back into their account a very dodgy set up. The communication was poor unless they wanted access and the balance of service lent in the favour of the owners more than the tenants health and well being. By far the worst agency and rental I’ve had to deal with, damp house cold and expensive to heat with additional bad credit also attached to the house which thankfully since I’ve moved this has returned to the excellent I was on. The agency was also rude after notice was given. Avoid

We contacted the Ideal Homes office to discuss putting our house on the market and the service from this point on was amazing. From the first visit by Craig to take pictures and discuss description, to the professional and high number of viewings delivered by Claire and Tean it was an amazing service. Once sold the speed at which Stu got the paperwork out and Claire then continued the service chasing the solicitors to get the paperwork done. Thank you to the whole team for making the whole process so easy. We can't recommend you enough and it's great that even though you are so busy the personal touch for your customers is still so high on your priority list.
