Avoid this agent. When I rented a flat from Homefinders a few years ago I found that they were difficult to deal with. Actually getting the flat was fine and I encountered no problems there. But once I was in the flat I found that their customer service was awful. My flat had damp issues and despite phoning Homefinders 3 times they kept fobbing me off, saying someone would be around to look at it soon. Eventually someone did come around to have a look but they didn't seem interested in the dampness issue and nothing was ever done about it. I told the agent multiple times that a bedroom was covered in damp and mould but they didn't seem to care about it. Then suddenly out of the blue I was being phoned by the agent and was informed it was time for my yearly gas check up and the gas man was coming at 2pm on a Tuesday. Could they have not checked if I was available before making this arrangement? I said I would be working then, so it was rearranged for another day - a Thursday at 1pm - and I waited all day for the gas man to turn up and he didn't turn up. The agent then said to me on the Monday that he did turn up on Friday at 2pm but I wasn't in. I explained to the agent that the agreed date and time was Thursday at 1pm and in fact I was there on the Friday at 2pm and no one turned up on my door that day for a gas safety check. They quickly changed the topic to making a new date for the gas man. The gas man didn't turn up again, I phoned the agent on the day he was meant to turn up and I was told that he had just left their office and I should phone them to tell him I was in my flat. I'm not sure why he was at their office when he should've been at my flat. I phoned the gas man and he stated he was in Port Glasgow about 30 minutes away from my flat so I knew he had not just left the Homefinders office. So I felt I had been lied to. The gas safety check was done within 15 minutes that day but it was dragged out over a week because of Homefinders. They just don't seem to care about their customers, as long as you are paying the rent they are happy.... Read more

As a new Tennant with this company, I have to say they are the worst letting agent I've ever encountered. Complete disregard for their responsibilities, appalling customer service and terrible communication. They only thing they are efficient at is taking the rent.... Read more
