Fantastic Estate Agent. Had a really positive experience when purchasing, despite the seller making things not as easy. Great communication through, always keeping me updated and helping negotiate what could have been difficult situations with the seller. At the same time they weren’t over the top and pushy in communications like some estate agents I have met in the past. Avoid at all costs. This agent is extremely disappointing. I never received any updates when my house was on the market unless I chased them. Once I got an offer, I never received any progression updates unless I asked/chased. When i dropped the keys off ready for completion the girl just sat on her phone texting and barely glanced up then I didn't even get a call or an email from them upon completion which is outrageous. Worst estate agent I have ever come across, I'd have lost my job if I had performed the way they have.... Read more

Enquired about a property at Tunstall Road, Catterick Village via a third party website, heard nothing back about making an appointment to view the property. Emailed irvings at Catterick directly, asked to make an appointment about veiwing the property, they asked what my situation was. I said I have a house to sell. They never asked what my financial situation was. No one got back to me, so I chased them. They advised their client would only sell to proceedable buyers only. They have made judgments about my situation and got it wrong. They didn’t have the decency to email me back and advise they were discriminating against people with a house to sell. I had to chase them. What Irvings need to do is stop putting a misleading sales advert on, perhaps that would stop any confusion or wasting people’s time. Your advert is 100% misleading. You need to clearly state in your advert that the property is only available to proceedable/cash buyers. The advert states the seller is chain free not that they don’t want to deal with people with properties to sell. Your client has lost a sale and I certainly wont be using Irvings in the future. This review is my true opinion based on the service & communication I received.... Read more

I've had dealings with all the Estate Agents in Catterick and Richmond over the past 11 years. I have found Irvings to be the most efficient and competent by far. They employ the most staff. The two offices are always open and their boards are everywhere. So that tells you all you need to know. Because of this they manage my properties around town . So . . .many thanks to them .... Irvings manage the lettings of 3 properties that we own. They do this with professionalism and expertise, much enhanced by the 'personal touch'. Karen, Rebecca and Kate, all in the Richmond office, have given us a sense of security in the knowledge that our properties are let out to people who care about them and they have access to an excellent team of tradespeople who can go in at short notice to rectify any problems. I have rented a property with Irvings for about 8 years now and have always found them extremely friendly and helpful. Today the lock broke on my door and I couldn't gain access to my property, as it was out of hours I was honestly expecting to be stuck until tomorrow. I left message on the answer service and received a call back within 5 minutes. 20 minutes later I was in my property. Top class service. Thank you Irvings.... Read more

Similar to one of the reviews below. We have been interested in a property on several occasions when it was on the market and then off and back on. Following an offer we wanted to view the property to possibly increase the offer. My mother 80+ tried to arrange this and was told she would get a call back. The call back was to say sorry no viewing was possible. She was confused by this so I called and was told they had accepted an offer, I asked if we were able to place a final offer as we were actively trying to purchase the property,only to be told no. Whilst, this maybe something they can do , are you not ment to get the best offer, we wish we could speak with the seller as I'm not sure all information is passed on. We feel confused and let down by the dealings with this estate agent. Unfortunately they are one of the only estate agents in the area and feel this is personal and will effect any property we try to buy. Interesting reply, we never said the clients were disillusioned, interesting narrative you have there. There is no point in continuing to discuss. We feel let down and I'm sure you continue practicing in our opinion inappropriately.... Read more

They recommended professionals for repairs and upgrades to the property when needed and gave timely updates.
