I've crossed paths with JBRL while looking to rent a flat. Even though the deal didn't go through because I couldn't reach an agreement with the landlord, working with JBRL was a very smooth and pleasant experience. Some of the reasons to collaborate with JBRL: - Very easy to book a viewing with flexible viewing hours; Agent was on time and very accommodating - Very fast replies to emails - unlike other agents which take days or prefer to call even though it's not always a good time for that especially business hours - Very customer focused - being able to accommodate requests out of the office hours - Service feels more personal than with big companies - Supporting local businesses Could be improved: - From the Holding arrangement: "should a landlord withdraw from a proposed tenancy upon satisfactory references then the holding deposit will be refunded less £45.00 per person for referencing costs and copies of the references will be provided for you to use." I find this stipulation unfair, as the tenant is penalised if he withdraws, but the landlord is not. More than that, the tenant might stand to lose some monies if he has to go with a different agent afterwards because most of them won't reduce the administration fee even if the tenant already has references. However, I assume this is a rare occurrence.
