My family and I have been looking for a property to rent for few weeks. I consulted several letting companies and Craig Jackson, from the John D Wood Fulham agency, did an outstanding job in understanding our needs, showing houses meeting our criteria, offering re-visiting several times with family members. Once the decision taken on our side, Craig was very efficient in all the steps, having the different people completing their tasks to get the house ready for us : in 5 days we got the keys. I have only presented them with one star as otherwise I was unable to post this. Incredibly unhelpful and indolent. Throughout our tenancy we experienced problem after problem due to a total lack of care and attention to detail (moving in with no hot water as no one at John D Wood checked our boiler function). Upon departing, we were advised by one of their supposedly senior staff, to leave our sofas behind. Our landlady rightfully insisted on a deduction from our deposit to have these removed, as he failed to communicate this information out of pure laziness. After several rude and belligerent conversations, he conveyed his lack of understanding of manners, or any form of liability, legally and morally, and refused to accept responsibility for his ill-advised emails. John D Wood fulfilled all characteristics of the archetypal estate agent, interested only in reaping and extoring the maximum amount of financial gain out of tenants and landlords and a dismissal of the protection of rights of both parties, in his pinstripe suit.
