Louise and Shaun are so welcoming and helpful! They have modernized the inn wonderfully. Very comfortable rooms and beds. We very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend you stay here too.

People...you have to come here honestly...the hosts Shaun and Louise are fabulous couple who cannot do enough for you and made our stay even more enjoyable along with Ambleside. And the breakfast really does set you up for the day...So come on down here or up here..a beautiful location and as have said perfect hosts ?

Arrived for 1 night. Nice welcome. Nice large room (5) Large comfy bed.Very clean room.Great location close to bars and restaurants.Great breakfast and lovely friendly staff. only down side was the lack of parking, however it is right next to the bus stop.

What can I say!? I stayed with a friend visiting from the US for some relaxed trekking and Lacey House and its convenient location delivered and exceeded expectations. From the placement of the coat hooks (perfectly located above a radiator to help dry out the inevitably wet outerwear) to the carefully cooked breakfast and comfort of the beds and seating in the rooms, Lacet has it all! When I'm planning another trip to the Lakes I'll certainly keep Lacet House at the front of my mind.

Host were lovely. Stayed in the family room which was spacious. Great location central to a lot of sights. Lots of eateries in walking distance. It was a bit noisy with traffic, but would definitely recommend and stay again.

Lovely couple Louise & Shaun, nothing too much a bother. Room was great, breakfast excellent. Location ideal for walking around. If you use your key fob at certain other establishments you get a discount. Will be booking up again. Well, a year on and we booked again, same results as before, different room this time. The owners are slowly getting things how they want ie rooms refurbished etc. Obviously you can't do everything at once and what they are doing is to be applauded. Hope the business continues to flourish, probably update same time next year!

Lovely welcome from Louise on the Friday evening and shown to a spotless ground floor room . Could not fault breakfast from Shaun and a good choice available . Would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation as they both made you feel very welcome

Nice place situated right in the ce tre of ambleside 1 minute from bus stop which covers all buses to get around the Lakes . Full breakfast was nice and this morning I had salmon and s dabbled egg. Owners are very helpful .

Little gem of a B&B. Lovely rooms comfortable beds and spotless clean. Louise and Sean were fantastic hosts and very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was fantastic with quality produce and the choice was plentiful. We will definitely return.

We stayed here at the end of May. The beds were comfy, the rooms and bathroom were spotless and the towels were huge and “fluffy” ????
There’s a great choice for breakfast (have the fruit pot it’s wonderful!) and every morning we were greeted with a cheerful “good morning”. Louise asked what we were doing that day with a genuine interest. Both Shaun and Louise are very knowledgeable on the area and did suggest some places to visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the help and friendliness of Shaun and Louise.
This is an amazing place to stay and we have booked again for next year. We can’t recommend Lacet House highly enough.

Fantastic stay at Lacet House (Knipe Cottage) self
contained accomodation, very well equipped , quirky and comfortable. Large comfortable king size bed , small lounge with sat tv , large bathroom with fantastic shower.
Breakfast served at Lacet House was amazing, great choice and cooked to perfection.
Shaun and Louise were perfect hosts friendly and helpful.
Would highly recommend staying here and we will definately be returning ..

Couldn't have asked for anything more. Great location, parking, lovely b and b and at very reasonable prices. And we were massively impressed with the breakfasts!
If I go to Ambleside again I would definitely stay there.

Touring Cumbria, and just called on Lacet House without any booking, Geri and Mick made me feel most welcome, I could,nt have found a better place to stay. Nothing was to much trouble with this couple, Stayed in Room 3 and had the family room to myself, The place is spotless, All the facilities in the room, and the Breakfast was more than enough.

Lacet House is a wonderful bed and breakfast to stay at in Ambleside. We stayed for 3 nights and felt very at home. It was very clean, warm and homely. The breakfast was very nice and offered a very comprehensive menu to choose from. Geri, Mick and Sarah are exceptional hosts and I'm certain we shall see them again.

Fab guest house. Close to the town centre. Off street parking, and fabulous owners. Happy to cater for dietary requirements as needed. Spent a weekend here earlier this year and this guest house will be our go to for Ambleside.

What a lovely B&B, a GEM of a place, lovely owners , exstremely helpful, stayed there for two nights for my daughters 50th birthday and nothing was too much trouble for them, the accomodation was spotless and the little touches ie, complimentary bottles of water and toiletries fresh milk if wanted. the breakfast had plenty of variety and the cooked breakfast very tasty. the location is excellent. will certainly stay there again and can highly reccomend lacett house. Thank you Geri and Sarah for your welcomeing friendly service .
