Mr Weston and his staff are a pleasure to deal with. Myself and my wife rented a wonderful property through Leek & Weston for nearly 2 years. Went to the rental house to view the guy had an attitude before even getting through the door decent house not for 550 though going up stairs he asked how many people would be living in the house we said 3 me my partner and my brother all disabled which they new the day before but as going up stairs he said house is not a hmo well obviously we know that and then refused us looking upstairs at the bedrooms and rushed us back out the house like he had else where to be very unprofessional avoid at all costs... I had the pleasure of dealing with Linda (pre lockdown) and David during the sale. Linda was very responsive, punctual, friendly and helpful throughout the process. Lockdown made everything so much harder (and a hold up from my solicitors didn't help!) but David stayed in contact the whole time, chased everything up and kept all parties involved updated. Didn't even make it through a viewing. Agent turned up with the wrong key and left us waiting outside for 35 minutes while she went back to the office to pick up the correct one. Had no information on the house at all, couldn't answer a simple question of whether the electric was quarterly or metered. She made zero effort of "showing off" the house, preferred to sit in the hallway making constant sighs and "listening in" on our conversations. After finding MANY problems with the house, I was jotting them down on a pad to work out what would need to be done in order for the house to be even considered by anyone with a brain. One of my comments from upstairs that she'd heard (sort of) was that the landlord had been redecorating the bedrooms and extremely badly at that, rather than paying to have the work done to which I said that the plug sockets and light switches, the bathroom tiles and mirror were all smeared with paint... to which I followed up with "has he not heard of masking tape?" This is where it gets real interesting as the comments I made about the condition of the house were obviously heard but incorrectly and she shot up the stairs to confront me? Bit of a poor unprofessional move. She gets to the top of the stairs and says, "If there are any problems with the house like you're saying that plug sockets are mastic'd(??) onto the wall then they'll be repaired because it's a safety concern". She then points at my pad and says, "It's like you're doing a survey on the house". Well yeah, she thought I'd just skip the viewing and rent it? Subsidence and damp shouldn't matter? What followed then was a very blunt explanation of what I actually said followed by her moving aside from the stairs and saying, "are we done here?" Yes we most definitely were. Couldn't get out fast enough. The house was awful. The agent was worse. Can't speak for the rest of the people there but if she's setting the example? Absolutely avoid.... Read more
