Sold a property with this firm about a year ago.Jack,will no doubt respond to this review stating he’s surprised it’s taken me so long to write a review,post selling.Well,it’s taken me that long to get over the terrible experience.As with another review written,Legra Homes will provide you with a price, it’s look great to start with,pay an up front fee and know it’s all sorted.Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience by far.Add £500 onto whatever the fee is that’s provided, bearing in mind this will then be over the price of an alternative agent whom you’ll pay once they’ve sold the property.If you get an offer, Legra will have told the potential buyer,but not you the seller, that they need to pay £500 deposit to take your property off the market, Legra then takes the £500 back from your sale price, calling it “fee” or “deposit”,costing you more than anticipated.Jack will properly respond saying it’s in his T&C’s,I’ve gone through what I signed with a fine tooth combe and nothing is mentioned of this. In addition, the service promised sounds amazing, until you expect to receive it.Expect your property to be wildly overvalued to lure you in. I had to drop £19k to secure a sale.Most agents will stay with you until they sell, Legra tie in to 12months, not sold after that, then that’s your problem, after all you signed his contract.At one point after saying I wasn’t happy Jack offered to “release” me from the contract if I wasn’t happy, but wouldn’t supply a refund for the fees paid to sell the property, well, that’s a load of use,Legra get their fee and I’m left with a property I wanted to sell and I have paid already to be sold.One phonecall prominently sits in my mind with Jack, I was misquoted in a private conversation about a statement Jack had made, a simple mismatch of words.Jack, text me and demanded to speak urgently,only for Jack to literally shout down the phone at me about,how dare I say such things,I explained it wasn’t said like it sounded - although I’m sure I’m allowed to make whatever comments I liked in private conversations away from the agent, obviously not. Jack, stated he would correspond by text and would not communicate through any calls anymore with myself - how’s that for customer service you’ve already paid for - I advised texting just wouldn’t be suitable for me to clarify important facts about sale, due to other responsibilities, he answered this by saying that most people get a lunch break so I should use this - I didn’t realise selling my property was the only thing on my life's agenda at that time and didn’t appreciate being scheduled in to fit Legras now “text only” policy, which I didn’t sign up for. You’ll never get through on the phone either, you say your name and that your a current customer, asking for a desperate update on how things are going with the sale and ask to speak with Jack about how things are pressing on, you’ll get told he’s not around, he’s in a meeting, I mean how dare a client ask for an update. Overall, a frightening service, where I felt intimidated by Jack, because of his telephone manner.There seems many good reviews here, so maybe I was one of the trial properties, something to add to his portfolio.I can only speak from my personnel experience.Pay that little bit more, get a top quality, well established agent who takes care of you and provides a quality service, no matter how irritating you may be because you ask for updates a few times. One who cares about you, your circumstances and selling your property for you and your gain, not theirs. Jack will no doubt give a load of drivel back to this about how I was an unreasonable client - the customer is always right and you paid for a service which you were offered as a platinum, groundbreaking form of agency. It’s not. I’m a fair reviewer, so I do provide a positive where I can, Jack did complete the viewings that I had all himself and it sold, eventually.
