I was hired as an apprentice with this being my first job they have been the most supportive, caring, understanding and down to earth employers I've had the fortune of becoming my first employers. Have nothing but good words to say about management and the staff but it all trickles from the top of the company from the owners being such lovely genuine people. The care standards are amazing and all the service users have great days out, holidays and so much more. Such a rewarding place to work unlike any other care home. The way things are run here are revolutionary compared to a lot of other care homes and the outcomes that are achieved are immense. Working here gives you a great sense of pride.

Ashdown Care is an amazing company to work for! I worked here for 5 years. Started as a support worker, worked in different homes in Gateshead and South Tyneside, then progressed to Deputy Manager, then to IT Manager. I’ve worked with some of the friendliest and most supportive people here. The directors, the management, staff – everyone is united to help the people live the lives THEY want. I’ve seen the lives of people we supported truly transformed and quality of life improved manifold. The company offers many professional development opportunities, and there’re always ways to progress and move up. Definitely a place to work if you want to make a difference and work as part of a great team!

Really great company to work for and one that really does care. Prior to joining the Ashdown team, I worked for an agency for 2 years. Whilst with my agency, I worked within multiple care facilities and unfortunately became very disheartened with the lack of care I experienced.
Ashdown have completely restored my faith. The service users are happy and the staff work round the clock to ensure that individuals have the best quality of life possible.
I'm very proud to be part of the team.

I have worked in care for many years but sadly been shocked and disappointed by the lack of care actually given to residents. I am currently employed by Ashdown care working at denmark street Gateshead and find them an exceptional company to work for. I get support from my manager and deputy manager at all times .my work colleagues are not actually colleagues but friends,we all work together for one reason and that is to support and bring some happiness love and laughter into a service users life.i feel we achieve this and altogether are one big happy family.i believe when staff are happy in their environment then so are the residents. I love my job!!!

A great well ran service that provides a high standard of care for the service users as reflected in CQC reports and families of the service users...unfortunately disgruntled EX staff members dont seem to see this and choose to post slanderous reviews of the service.
