Foxtons was one of the only agencies who promptly replied to my enquiries and they managed to show me around a few flats and securing one well ahead of time. Particularly thanks to Francesco I had a quick and smooth less experience finding the new place and he made sure the flat was in the right conditions before I moved in, also putting forward to the landlord some needed improvements.

As a first time buyer, especially in London, it can be an extremely stressful and uncertain process but Paul was incredibly helpful and we really felt like we could trust his guidance.

Avoid at all costs - we made the mistake of moving into a flat on the premise that repairs for faulty items, such as the kitchen cabinets and floorboards, would be completed on the first weekend. However, six months later, nothing had been fixed. The basement, which was advertised as usable space, was filled with the landlord's belongings and was therefore unusable. Our contacts, Jibby and George, were not very helpful and we could not contact the landlord ourselves. It apparently took at least a week for the landlord to respond to the estate agents, which prolonged the issues of repairs and added to frustrations. When we finally managed to escape our contract, we were charged for issues that were the result of neglect from the landlord. It took several months for our deposit to be returned, and to make things worse, we were hit with last-minute changes to our deposit return for unjust reasons. At a time when rent is so high, one would expect estate agents to vet potential landlords appropriately, but this does not seem to be the case at Ludlow Thompson.

Jibby the overall manager is great to work with - he has done a fantastic job for us (finding tenants and across the life cycle) and has always made us feel like we are in safe hands. From our perspective he’s the face of Ludlow
