Took time off work for sanctuary housing to sort damp out on chimney breast inside and they didnt even bother to turn up or ring to rearrange.my partner went into city centre office to ask why and got told you have to ring repairs very rudely even after explaining he had rang but due to high amount of calls after 30 mins put phone down and wanted answers from office .Very unprofessional.... The doors in my house are faulty. My kids closed a door and got locked on other side with children in the kitchen. He couldn't get door to open so had to punch a hole in the door to get through. He rang them straight away after getting through the door and was told we would have to pay nearly 400 pounds to replace the very cheap door. Said that if we would of rang before he punched a hole in it they would have give him permission to do it. It's like how can he ring when his phones on the other side of the door? Does he just leave the 3 kids in the kitchen with the cooker? They have had to replace the handles on other doors in the house since. I haven't paid for new door, but when I move out I'll be seeking advice as we shouldn't have to pay for a dodgy door. Especially as our kids were in danger.... Read more

April 11th 2017...In October 2016 I was approved for a bathroom to shower room conversion, I waited over three months for the visit by Social services and approval. Since then I have had three (3) visits asking me to move into alternative accommodation, which I don't want to do. My wife is severely disabled and I really don't think she needs the stress, I know I don't, of moving having been settled for nine years in a very pleasant community. Customer service I would say at it's very best abysmal to mediocre. CDHT was second to none the service was excellent and above. Sanctuary bought that reputation and despite the valiant efforts of Ex-CHDT they have destroyed it. The whole system is geared to maximising the holdings of Sanctuary and we the customers are just an inconvenience. I might add as an ex Assessor and Verifier for Customer Service up to and including Level 3, Sanctuary would not get level 1 and that is basically answering the phone and noting any problems....... 02/05/2017...strange how the only positive part of my post above has been separated out to show sanctuary in a good light. ...I never said that sanctuary was second to none. I said in retrospect the old guard CDHT was second to none. Please do not put words into my post which were not intended. Typical corporate chicanery select only what you want to hear and disregard the rest.... Read more

Awful. My wife and I thought that we could smell gas in or boiler cupboard so I phoned Sanctuary who told me to turn off the gas at the main if I could. This I did and spent a miserable Monday morning without any heating or hot water. Lunch time an engineer turned up and waved around a sniffer thing and told me that there was no gas leak, then he turned the boiler off, put a notice on and went. I phoned Sanctuary and was told as a vulnerable household we would be considered an emergency case ans someone would be with us in 24 hours. Didn't happen did it? They weren't her in 36 hours and I don't expect them to be here in 48. Two phone calls a day just to be told we have passed it on as an emergency and there is no more we can do. I consider that Sactuary have broken our agreement in tat, Page 6,section (e) Repairs(d)They shall maintain heating and water heating equipment and section E(iii) that states that the landlord shall carry out repairs in a reasonable timescale.As I write this I am still without central heating and hot water 3 days after reporting the issue.
