Absolutely fantastic service received from start to finish. Nick put a lot of thought and effort in to the pictures, arranged viewing slots around my schedule, and managed to sell my property in less than a week. During the conveyancing process, my transaction was dealt with by Leanne, and again, the service was 5*. Leanne updated me nearly every day without ever being prompted, she was personable, and she was sensitive to the frustration of having a useless third party solicitor dealing on behalf on the buyer. During the process of the offer being accepted, through to the completion of the property we had an extremely poor service from Mr Homes. My sister & brother in law were buying their first home, which naturally is a very daunting experience, especially when you are unsure of how things work. The property in question was offered with no onward chain so effectively there were only two parties involved. From start to finish the communication from Mr Homes has been nothing but hard work. It came to light that once they had received their mortgage offer, the valuation stated possible damp in the property, having looked further into this and getting a damp specialist to look at the property, it appeared there was just over £5000 worth of treatment that was required. I attempted to discuss this with Mr Homes both by phone and email on behalf of My Sister, which to our disappointment took 5 days for someone to even acknowledge the issue. It then took almost 4 weeks to actually get to a point of resolve. For something that could have been sorted within a matter of days, I was extremely shocked that not only had our calls and emails been ignored, but the incompetence of members at the office meant that the process had dragged on much longer than it ever needed to be. Having been passed from pillar to post with different members of the team, it was very difficult to understand who was actually dealing with the purchase of the property. Having a Sales Progressor to deal with these matters is a big bonus in Estate Agency, however we only actually got to speak to her in the last week of the process so it seemed that she was trying to avoid dealing with any possible issue that arose. And just to note that this took almost 5 months to complete, yes 5 months! In my eyes, and being someone who works within the industry, I have never dealt with an Estate Agent as poor as Mr Homes. For a transaction like this you would expect it to take no more than 3 months on average, so why it took so long I put down to the Office themselves having not dealt with anything in the correct way or even cared about the service they were providing. All in all we are very disappointed and would not recommend Mr Homes to potential New Sellers.... Read more

I recently viewed a property advertised to Let with Mr Homes. After the viewing I expressed keen interested in the property and was willing to pay the agency fees to secure it. Michelle explained that she had 4 more viewings at the property after me and that she needed to be fair and give everyone their viewing as planned and said that she would contact me the following working day, at latest within two working days to let me know of the outcome. The viewing was short and sweet, I didn't feel extremely welcome and when I questioned Michelle about the residential area, she told me to "Google it". I was under the impression an estate agent was there to answer any questions of their customers?! Regardless, I still really liked the property and wanted to secure it. Two working days went by and I had heard nothing from Michelle or Mr Homes so I contacted them. I contacted them a further 3 times... every call was very similar and staff took down my details and promised a call back - that never happened. So a week later since viewing the property I called the office for the final time, when again they took my details and instead of a curtesy call as promised, I received the most unprofessional text. I quote (word for word): "hi sorry about the late reply but the landlord has decided to go with another applicant please check web site for and alternative thanks mrhomes" Note: Not a single capital letter, comma, full stop or offers to help with any other viewings. I am so disappointed with Michelle, Mr Homes and their lack of customer service. House hunting is stressful enough and the market is so competitive, therefore dealing with such unprofessional estate agents makes that even harder. I would defiantly not recommend Mr Homes....
